Finally decided to try this place after seeing it’s good reviews. I really did enjoy it but I do have to go back to get more of a feel to it. I have to go back and order some sushi. This trip I did not try it. I had shrimp teriyaki which was great.

Maki Sushi was a great dining experience. The ambience is very relaxing, the service was warm, and the food was fantastic. Every detail in all dishes were well thought through and nicely executed. Definitely a top spot for delicious and high-quality Japanese food in the greater North Jersey area. We will be back here again at the next immediate opportunity and we will bring friends.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Stopped in after seeing the reviews and let’s just say, I will definitely be coming back. We brought a bottle of sake and had the chefs menu (omakase) – by sushi chef Pete and everything was spot on. His wife Romi also attended to us and she was such a sweetheart. The service was great, the fish was fresh, and you could see the pride Pete had in every single one of his plates. I would definitely recommend.

My family and I came on a Sunday night with 10 people, last minute plans, and they were so accommodating with us. The chef and his wife were so friendly, welcoming, and offered an amazing service. The food was impeccable. We started off with seaweed salad, sashimi deluxe, and the gyoza, then we had the beef yakisoba, braised pork donburi, beef tartare, and an assortment of rolls, varying from their classics to specialty rolls. They recently changed owners and I have to say that they really know their sushi. If you’re in the area, you gotta try it, you won’t regret it!

Let me start by saying I eat a lot of sushi and have been to almost all the sushi places in the area. Maki sushi is by far one of if not the best sushi restaurants in the area hands down. The sushi and sashimi is very fresh colorful and tasty. They have a nice variety of rolls and other dishes. There is a dish for everyone. The owners and staff make you feel welcomed and treat you like family.
