I’ve had someone give me a sample sandwich from this place before and I decided to try it out myself. It is a cute, little store hidden by the Kailua Shopping Center, but the secluded area make it a great place to eat by the water. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The sandwiches taste as good as they look! I enjoy all of the additional toppings they add to the the sandwiches which make it feel like I’m eating a sandwich that was made with love. As corny as this may sound, having to make my own sandwiches that don’t taste as good because I don’t put in half the effort as these folk makes me really appreciate this place.

Proof one can find a substantial, well balanced, satisfying sandwich. Feel good bread, packed with vegetarian fillings. Helpful staff. But, why is the side ‘salad’ to a sandwich packed full of vegetables just salad leaves?

Such a quick, great option for something tasty and healthy! Our sandwiches were ready before we even finished paying for our order. Staff is super friendly even while jamming out the food at record speed. Can’t wait to try the other sandwiches, the chicken salad and pastrami were amazing!

Amazing sandwiches mad drinks paired with great customer service. Highly recommend for a hearty sandwich. We got the chicken salad, mala delight(vegetarian), Italian, and turkey avocado. They were all great. Chicken salad was especially good. The passion tea and lemonades were sooo good and refreshing.

Mala Market has fresh, hearty, light, beautiful sandwiches that are compact and easy to eat. I often go there for takeout, but if you happen to dine in, you’ll enjoy being along the Hawaii Kai Marina watching ducks float by, boats, kayakers, and stand up paddlers living their best life. Grab a refreshing, iced plantation tea while you’re at it and don’t forget to get an extra sauce for dipping. The storefront itself is boho cute and the staff seems like they are super happy to see you.
