Like all the best things in life, Malibu Farm started small and grew organically—just like the food we like to eat and serve. Our founder, Chef Helene Henderson, began with cooking classes and farm dinners out of her home and in her backyard in Malibu, where free-range, fancy, feather-footed chickens roam alongside a pig named Arnold and pet goats who love to walk on the beach.
Helene opened a casual counter-service café at the end of the Malibu Pier and a full-service restaurant and bar soon followed.
Although we have grown like wild weeds, we are still a locally owned small business. We use mostly whole wheat flours and whole grains; lots of veggies and fruit. We use no fake food and no non-fat products.
Relaxed eatery offering a taste of Malibu via straightforward preparations of local ingredients. Based on 823 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.1 stars. Price $$

Great brunch food with good variety! The cauliflower pizza was a pleasant surprise and we also had the burrata to start. As mains we enjoyed the green goddess salad with tofu, the burger and the vegan salad. The poke was good but quite small

They only serve brunch Saturdays and Sundays for anyone wondering! Will definitely be back to try their brunch because we missed it this time. The place is very pretty and has great views (especially if you sit outside), our waitress was great and all the food got there pretty quickly and it all tasted great. Nothing out of this world for their lunch menu but definitely a nice place to check out. The chili tofu tacos were pretty good, just a bit pricey considering it’s mostly cabbage and like two pieces of tofu. We loved the nachos as a starting appetizer, and my friend got the salmon which was delicious.

Nice location, service was fine. The dishes were fresh and creative. However, the entree I ordered, the burger, tasted stale and was a little disappointing. The other items I tried included the cauliflower pizza, tofu tacos, crab cake, and the deserts. All of these were fine, but there was no flare that would make me come back to this place.

Great place by the water at Pier 17. They were kind enough to give us a table by the water that overlooked Brooklyn Bridge. We liked their chips and guacamole, chicken breast and avocado flatbread. Their ceviche, tuna chiarshi and mussels were okay. Overall good place with great views and nice staff. Would love to eat there again.

Spent the 4th of July here and we really enjoyed everything about this place. First let me say the food was delicious. You could tell how fresh all the ingredients were. The reason I gave it only 4 stars was because of the portion sizes. They were on the small side but this is typical for many NYC restaurants. It shouldn’t distract you from going, you just have to savor each bite a bit more which is easy to do because it’s so delicious. We had the HELENE’S LONG ISLAND FLUKE CEVICHE so yummy, next we tried the P.E.I. MUSSELS. These also were good but there were hardly any glass noodles served with them which was disappointing. We finished with the SMASHED STYLE BACON BURGER. It was delicious and the roasted potatoes it was served with melted in your mouth. The prices are reasonable, the service was excellent and oh the view! Worth the visit just for that.

A charming place in Pier 17. The service is really good (we asked to move table twice and they were super accomodati g). The food is good, nothing that I haven’t seen before. The Greek salad is mostly leaves, the ceviche starter was nice ( a bit too cold as it comes on ice, unnecessary in my opinion) the brown rice in the tuna chirashi was a bit hard. The curry dish was good and the chocolate cake was good. All in all a nice experience.

Malibu Farm New York is a great farm-to-table eatery by the water with amazing views of Brooklyn Bridge. Especially on a nice day out, the outdoor tables are perfect for enjoying the views and relaxed vibe.

The sunny side up eggs were way too over cooked and chewy with no runny yolk at all. The gravy on the biscuits lacked both flavor and spice. The hot sauce lacked any semblance of spice and tasted more like a condiment. The vegetable hash left you wanting for more substance, it felt very lacking. And broccoli mashed potatoes were very dry. Having gone specifically for brunch the eggs were very disappointing. All of the eggs on our table were over cooked and chewy with no runny yolks to be found. While the food was disappointing the service was great.

Excellent restaurant with a great vibe. The food was fresh – we had the cauliflower pizza, burger and an impossible burger – all of them were excellent!
