Don’t miss going here. We come here every year. Last several years. They only had a window open. No dining room. It’s back to normal now. Dining room is open. Looked like full menu service.

This spot makes some “fire” original malts and shakes or should I say “chilly”. The food isn’t a jaw drop but it’ll do if you just finished a gnarly hike. Cute little stop if you are in town. Ladies that run the place are sweeter than the malts. Yeehaw!

Went here twice, first time for lunch and second just for ice cream. My kind of joint, good greasy burgers and perfect soft serve. It can get busy and I can’t recall what days they’re closed so just double check before you go, but even if there is a wait the service is still pretty speedy in my opinion. And the food and ice cream are soooo worth it. First time here, first time in Pagosa ever, and I’m definitely coming back to both.

We had just arrived into Pagosa Springs from Texas and we were all so hungry! Food was all so good. Had burgers, chili cheese fries, grilled ham and cheese… and Ofcourse we tried their malts! We were so stuffed! Bathrooms were clean. Staff was all so nice! Many seating available.

I am still waiting on a hamburger at 2:00 pm on a Monday. It has been an hour already. I’ve finished my drinks and no one has mentioned a thing about what the holdup is. I just watched three of the teenage staff saunter out of the kitchen for a “walk” along the river, then return. I guess I might get my burger now that they’re high. No food is worth this mediocre dump.

Waited over an hour for 2 chili dogs a hamburger and a grilled ham and cheese. Didn’t get our food until we complained. Fries were cold. The girls behind the counter were dancing and eating shakes, couldn’t be bothered to refill drinks. No explanation as to why the delay.

This place is amazing so you will be waiting in line to order but portions are huge and delicious. You MUST make an effort to stop in if you are passing through. Prices are great and staff is friendly. The only complaints are that food does not come out all together.. your order will be handed to you whenever it is ready (bit by bit) and they are closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Seriously.. the ice cream portions are large..yummy!

I just left. I stood at the counter for TWENTY minutes. Not a single girl even acknowledged I was there. Nobody said hello. Nobody took my order. Every guest in there was complaining. Absolute rudest staff I have ever come across. They looked they did not want to be there. Whoever runs this place needs a serious change in staff or this place is going down. It’s 5:30. I left and went to Kips Grille and Cantina. I was welcomed with smiles and they took my order in 3 minutes. Very disappointed. I am not local and not impressed by the malt shoppe! Absolutely terrible experience. I will never return. Do not waste your time.
