The food was very good, the waitress though….. we walked in it was pretty dead she took our drink order said she would be right back for our food order then a party of 2 walked in followed by a party of 8 and then a party of 4…… she took their drink orders filled them took their food orders put those in and then came to take ours….. we spent over an hour and a half for breakfast! All of the parties that can in after us were served and had paid their bills by the time our food came out, we asked for our check and it took another 20 minutes until we finally just went to the bar and said we wanted to pay….. moral of the story if you are not a local you are not welcome here……ps….. there was poop all over the front of the women’s toilet

Atmosphere pleasant. Oatmeal with brown sugar was ordered. No brown sugar available. Spoonful of frozen blueberries was provided in it’s place. Bill for meal was a while in coming. Coffee was offered, no water was served. I don’t eat eggs. Others enjoyed their traditional breakfast.

It’s a okay place to breakfast we had two Papa bears. The service was good, the food was okay. The pancake was not that great. The toast, sausage link, bacon and potato wedges were okay. We were here during a fall road trip and it’s an easy place to find.

Small but homey restaurant – maybe 6 booths and a big table in the middle. Waitress was frazzled – we walked in as she took a large to go order (10 meals she said), she told us it would be a wait. Told her we didn’t mind as long as we could have coffee. Sat at the counter while she cleaned tables. She told the next 5 groups to enter the same thing. Never did get coffee until order was placed. Food was DELICIOUS though, bit on the pricey side but this far in Maine with limited supply, it’s to be expected.

We had some breakfast before we leave the trail here. This food hit the spot. It was very good. I would say the staff was maybe a little less than organized but they did a good job and took care of us eventually.

We drive from Greenville to breakfast at Mama Bears whenever we vacation there. Usually 2 to 3 times a year. It is always worth the drive of 50 miles. Staff are terrific, service is great and the food is delicious. The coffee tops the breakfast.
