Excellent food and excellent service. The tables, walls, and floors show a lot of age and could use some repair, but I think it adds to the charm. There is a collection of chess boards and a few you can play. My son and I enjoyed a game of chess as we waited for our food (he won).

We had their pizza and wings last night. I liked the pizza. It wasn’t greasy as some places can be. However, my husband thought it was dry. I told him to ask for more sauce on the side next time. This proves how we all have such different tastes. The wings? YUM!!! We will go back for them. I got them dry because I don’t do anything spicy. My husband loved the sauce. I would not eat it. I prefer no sauce anyway. I usually dip them in ranch. As always, I really enjoy supporting family owned businesses in town, as this one is. They always thank you for coming in. If you don’t live the pizza try the chicken parm or something else.

Overall it was probably one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in my life. We waited around 2 hours for lukewarm wings, a personal size Stromboli that were around 12 bucks, a decent bowl of Alfredo, and some ok meatballs. Also, the service was subpar at best the one refill we received had to be asked for and we got no ice at all when we received our drinks. The only reason I am not giving this place a worse rating is that it is understaffed currently. The only way I can see these high reviews being real are if they are for to go orders that were prioritized while we were waiting for our food.

I love eating here when we are camping at the beach! I introduced my parents to it the last time we were down there together. The owner has always greeted the patrons to ensure that they are satisfied. It is authentic, made-from-scratch, Italian food! (I will actually order and pickup 2 plates of lasagna on my way home from the beach… They’re that good!)

Best my style pizza around this town but that’s not saying much these no good pizza in shallotte. Mama brava is best here my only thing I’ve noticed they need to add more sauce to their pizza. Other than that it’s pretty good.

Ok I had the lasagna my husband has the chicken parm. The service was excellent. They kept apologizing for the slow service since they have no help. The people here are super friendly! The food is decent the price is amazing! Two entrees, two salads, bread with each meal and 1 glass of wine all for just $40.00 before tip. Where do you get that in Shallotte? No where. We will go back.

Food is great, service is terrible. Waited 1/2 hour to be seated, many open tables. 2 wait staff working, older lady just walked around doing nothing, younger lady running around doing everything alone. Finally got seated waited about 15 minutes for order to be taken and then at least 1/2 hour for food. Again older lady doing nothing except delivered a few orders to a few tables. Our waitress who was wonderful was answering the phone bussing and taking orders, probably cooking as well. A month or so later tried to call for a takeout order. Ad says can call at 4:00 PM. Started calling at 4:05 at 4:45 gave up and ordered Pappa John’s. Customer service matters.
