Ordered their Dominican sushi during their buy 1 get 1 Thursday sushi special. Menu had no price on it. We were the only ones on the patio. Food took almost an hour to get to us & before it did get to us they were taking pictures of the sushi right in front of us for promotion I guess which is COOL, but we were HUNGRY and growing impatient. Paid around $55 for 4 full rolls of sushi, 2 waters ($3 bottled water!), and a passion fruit juice. Sushi was good, but very salty! Presentation was beautiful and the atmosphere was chill with Spanish music playing.

I went on a Wednesday night and the place was empty but we were greeted right away with nice warm energy. We were offered bar, table or patio seating options, it was really nice out so we chose the patio. The owners were great they even play some music of our choice to make us feel comfortable. The food was amazing and our server Marileny was very attentive, funny and hospitable. We will definitely be back !

Food: The chef proved he knows what he is doing with flavor. The menu was very good and all the food we ordered came out in a timely manner and, most importantly, fresh. The chimmi sauce and the coconut sauce are definitely hands down their two best complimentary house sauces. They can be added to almost any dish to further increase flavor. I am a Dominican born and raised in NYC, this establishment for sure holds down the culture with its dishes. The rice and guandules was light yet savory to the point where the bean didn’t overpower the rice. The skirt steak cut was incredible because it was locally farmed. It was cooked to perfection and chewing it felt like a higher quality cut of steak. That’s how you know the chef knows what he’s doing. The chicken breast was tender and juicy. Vegetables were fresh. Mofongo was everything you could asked for. Absolutely solid on the menu.

Mamajuana Lounge has seen many changes throughout its life time and it has grown and become better as it grows! Now it features a brand new patio dining area that has the most tropical, Miami style vibe to it, with its own personal style and flavor! Mamajuana features a brand new menu as well that leaves you wanting to come back to try a different dish the next time because when you look around at other table or what others order, you instantly want to try their food. The Fried Yuca balls that are crispy on the outside bursting with flavor when mixed with the chefs sauce that it is plated with. That was just the app, the main dishes feature churrasco that comes out sizzling from the kitchen leaving a trail of smoke that fills the air with a brief aroma of deliciousness, the Whole Fried Red Snapper stuffed with more seafood, The Tropical Salmon, and you can’t forget the Mofongo with different toppings. The atmosphere is a chill vibe but filled with fun as well with different music sets from different djs on different days. Keeping your toes tapping and maybe even wanting to bust out the dance moves.

Food was excellent atmosphere was good and the hookah service was excellent BUT the 6 mix drinks we bought had no alcohol in them at all or just very light the manager did cover 3 of the drinks but but literally we drank 6 over price juice lol but like I said dinner was excellent waitress was good and atmosphere was awesome and hookah service was good but I would never go back unless I’m buying a bottle
