We stopped in after driving past on our way to a different restaurant. The other restaurant was unwelcoming so we decided to go back to mamas. The parking lot was full so we assumed they had good food and service.

Good food. Good homespun service. Menu is on the white board when you walk in. Then you sit down when you know what you want. Coleslaw is good. Catfish is awesome. Prices are a little more than typical diner prices but not much more than other places. Be sure to ask about dessert bc I missed that opportunity.

Our meal was AWFUL. There is obviously a huge problem in the kitchen. Only two items out of the five we ordered were edible. The chicken tenders were very overcooked, the macaroni & cheese was in a moat of flavorless, watery “sauce”, and the onion rings were too thin and stuck together in a non-appetizing, greasy clump. A tremendous waste of $17.

Food was good service was great. I got the blt and tater tots and my son got the kids tenders and fries. He ate quite a bit which is saying something. The only thing i would have changed is the toast not being so hard but otherwise perfect
