I was unsure about making a 37 minute drive to try this place out. I placed a online order for pickup. Food is amazing. I just wished I checked my order before I left. The bag was tied so tight I didn’t even think to open my meal. Got home just to find out I was missing my shrimp. Everything else was amazing. Also not able to get in contact with anyone to even let them know or ask for anything.

I had the snapper poboy, mac n cheese, and grilled pound cake all some of, if not, the BEST food I’ve had on my whole trip. DD&D type incredible hole in the wall gem

I had the catfish, mac and cheese and greens! Food was great, catfish and mac and cheese was a little salty but that was simply because I don’t usually eat with salt that much. Customer service was outstanding

My husband and I visited after searching for soul food in Vegas because our normal place wasn’t open. We were happy to find we had options. The location was easy to find and has plenty of options for seating. We were immediately greeted which always makes me happy. The guy behind the counter had a good personality and gave us good feedback on what we wanted. We came in wanting pork chops. We both ordered 2 chops with sides, mine fried plain and his smothered. Our sides were rice and gravy, mac n cheese, fried cabbage and hot water cornbread. We ordered koolaid to drink. We waited about an hour my food came out with everything but my husband only got his chops and cornbread. The mac and cheese had to be re-made. The rice and gravy would take too long so he brought us mashed potatoes and gravy instead. The food looked amazing but lacked seasoning. The hot water cornbread comes with 3 pieces. At first glance, they looked amazing but my bottom piece was burned at the bottom so I didn’t eat. The mac and cheese was very fresh but it came out after we were done with our meat. We were given extra servings to make up for our wait and while the mac and cheese had great flavor it was a little runny for our preference. The fried cabbage was delicious, good seasoning with the right texture. Overall, the food just didn’t live up to our expectations.

Horrible!!! We waited over 35 min for our order and another 15 min for our check! The woman mopping the floor was the cool! Worst Sunday dinner for $30 ever! Chicken wings fried in old grease and burnt fries. Best thing was the $4 kool-aid.

Just WOW!!! So after reading some of the reviews we almost decided to go somewhere else but, we live in Vegas and decided to take a gamble and oh man WHAT A REWARD!!!! It took some time to make but SO worth it !!! Our burgers were so big we couldn’t even eat the whole thing! The peach cobbler was good a little heavy on the cinnamon but, good and the fries you can tell are fresh hand cut!!! Definitely a place we will be back too!!!

Service was great…food was even better. We were all pleasantly surprised. So much so…Mama’s Kitchen will be my first stop when I return in March. That cabbage is amazing….the chops, chicken, the grits…that grilled pound cake. We’re eating and grabbin’ plates for the long weekend!! The Cali crew is on the way….fire up that stove!! And, the food is truly cooked to order.
