I ordered the Curry Chicken with rice, cabbage, and plantains. The food was ~OK. The curry chicken was fine but the cabbage was a bit bland and the rice needed a little love. Unfortunately they didn’t put the plantains in my plate even though I paid for them. I would hope they don’t get everyone’s order wrong, but they do have a policy about once you leave your order is final.

I absolutely love this place. It is my go-to whenever I am in need of some home cooked comfort food . The staff are very welcoming and accommodating, and the food portions are nice. I highly recommend this place for catering or if you just want to feel like you are back home eating at your grandma’s house. They always add coconut milk to the peas and rice, which is a tradition, and the Jerk Chicken tastes so flavorful ! You won’t be dissatisfied ❣️

The food was delicious. Some of the best Jamaican food I’ve had. Service was great as well. We got our food in a timely manner and they let us taste test food that we were unsure about. Highly recommend!

While the service was great, the food left much to be desired. My curry was extremely bland. Hardly any flavor, smh. The spinach patty was ok. The only downside to it was that the dough had obviously not been cooked all the way. It tasted like undercooked/raw dough that had been left out to sit all day, unfortunately. The filling was GREAT, though. The cabbage started out bland, but I realized all of the flavor was at the bottom of the plate with the juices, so it actually was quite delicious.

The jerk chicken is amazing as well as all the empanada type options. So much food for a very reasonable price. Only downside, is there wasn’t good seating. The dining room was closed off, so we had to sit in the lounge at the bar. 100% recommend and we will definitely be back.

First time visiting this location from NYC. The food here is amazing. You will not be disappointed. The portions are a healthy size. The host Stephanie is phenomenal. She has excellent customer service skills. She was extremely attentive while we dined in. This is a place that should be on the map for excellence Jamaican cuisine. Please try them you will not be disappointed. The next time I am in Atlanta this is definitely a place I will visit again. Mama paradise you did not disappoint. We ordered a variety of food and everything was amazing the ackee and salt fish the stew chicken, the mannish water need I say more. Thank you Stephanie for your great hospitality.

Mama’s Paradise food use to be really good but they’ve gone down hill. I use to eat there regularly and decided to give the another chance since I hadn’t been there in over a year. Purchased the Jerk chicken 1st off the meat was OLD and burnt and there was no jerk. It tasted like liquid smoke and pepper. They need a new chef!
