If you’ve ever eaten at a pizza hut buffet, you’ve had better. From the browning Lettuce on the salad bar to the abysmal pizza selection at lunch on a Saturday this was a sad affair. The one good thing about it, it’s cheaper to do this than to order a pizza.

We usually get pizzas to take home but we tried their buffet recently. Mama’s pizza is worth the wait but it took too long for the crowd favorites to hit the buffet. We had to ask for fresh salad for the salad bar and they did bring out a fresh bowl…just took a while. There were a lot of dirty tables that needed to be bused; we bused our table before we left. We will try the buffet again sometime, maybe; we will definitely do pizza takeout again!

Wow! This is great pizza! I’ve had nothing but positive experiences and I’m taken back by the previous negative reviews. The staff are courteous and professional. When I think of pizza for dinner, I only think of Mama’s pizza before other big box chains. I first tried their pizza when a family friend brought pizza when we were moving into our new place. It was love at first bite! Being new to Granbury I wasn’t able to locate them on Google Maps. It turns out, they were close to home. I was told they opened in September but they were having trouble updating on Google Maps. I submitted a request to Google to add their location and so here we are. My photos are from early December. This place is hands-down 5 stars.

I ordered a thin crust pepperoni pizza with lots of toppings and a regular salad. Despite the fact that they were super busy, it didn’t take long. The pizza was perfect. I would definitely eat there again.

Buffet was ok but not spectacular. I may have gotten there on the tail end of the rush. I’ll give it another shot in a few weeks and get there earlier. I love Mama’s Pizza and order takeout is always 5 stars.

This pizza place is in the old DQ where we had lunch in HS. My 1st job was there and I was fired the 1st day as I did not have the ability to make soft serve ice cream cones, darn it! However, Mama’s Pizza had a delicious lunch buffet with a fresh salad bar. Lot’s of memories, a jersey with the number of Johnny Perkins, #22, who played for Granbury Pirates, Abilene Christian and drafted to the New York Giants hangs on the wall. Go for the food, soak up the ambiance of when Granbury was just a 2 red light town, you won’t be disappointed.

This is the second time we’ve tried Mama’s pizza. First time was right after they opened and it was all wrong. We decided to give them another shot now that they’ve been open for some time and they ended up making our order wrong again. Only this time they remade it quickly and gave us the mistake, which I was thankful for. Service was excellent. I’m not a big pizza fan, so I’m going to try not to be too judgey here. The pizza itself is very thin & it was soggy on the bottom with a ton of crust folded over on itself. It was a bit much. I got a small 4 piece pepperoni pizza. Hubby got a 6 piece thin crust pepperoni. Nothing fancy. The thin crust was better, I’d probably recommend that over the regular version. To the eye, it’s beautiful pizza. Seriously, 5 stars for presentation. It looks amazing. But that’s as far as it goes. Taste is something entirely different and it’s just not there. It’s also very over priced imo. 2 little pizzas, breadstix, and 2 salads that were just cut up lettuce with some diced tomato thrown on top was almost $50 with tip. That’s pretty ridiculous. Last thing, I’ve gone in that building twice since it opened and both times it smells like sewage. Maybe dirty dish water? This last time wasn’t as bad as the first time, but there is a strange aroma in the building that isn’t very appetizing. I hate to be so harsh to a local business, I’m just giving an honest opinion. Hopefully your experience is a better one!!

Best pizza around, best ingredients with real cheese, perfect crispy crust Yum!!!! Friendly staff but if you call an order in make sure it’s with one of the girls, if not make real sure he reads it back to you. Lol

Placed a GrubHub order waited an hour and called the restaurant, and was told it’s been ready for awhile and GrubHub is slow. I had to tell them the order needed to be updated as ready and they did do so. But with it being so close to being closing time they marked the order as being prepared so they didn’t have to stay for pickup.

Was very disappointed here today. Place opens at 11am. I got there at 11:15. No pizzas out yet. Then there was only 3 pizzas on their buffet till I left.
