Caution when you walk in open the door slowly because you might hit someone sitting behind it. Where do I start? The restaurant is crowded. There is a table right next to the restroom, making me not want to use it even though I really needed to. Finally went to the restroom and the door doesn’t lock right. The lock is placed wrong so if someone pulls the door even it it’s locked they will open it. And remember there is a table right by the restroom door so if your sitting on the toilet you will be seen. So be quick and do your business lol or everyone will see your business. We sat down and about 5 minutes after arriving our drink order was taken, 10 minutes after arriving our food order was taken. Keep in mind there were only 3 tables with customers who had already been helped. After the hour of not getting our food we paid for our drinks and left. Also the kool-aid is extremely sweet. The waitress isn’t that friendly she doesn’t have customer service skills. If they were short staffed she should have told the customers and then we would decide if we wanted to wait so long to eat. Another thing is that the menu items weren’t that great, a bit pricey. Ended up at another near by restaurant, very fast service. I’m sure by the time we were eating at the other restaurant our food still wouldn’t have been ready here at Mama’s.

Sliced Brisket and Rib Sanwiches were great! Love the BBQ sauce, it went well with the meat and the bread. Potato salad and okra hit the spot. Pecan pie was nice, sticky and very good. Sorry no pic of the generous portion of Pecan Pie. Will be back again soon!

Watch out for the flies that are trapped under the lid with the cakes. The kool-aid was a diabetics nightmare. BBQ sausage was says old, the sauce wasn’t enough to mask the freezer burn.

I can’t even describe how amazing this food was. The seasonings on their food hits the spot. I got the plate with chicken strips, mac and cheese and fries which was LOADED with food for such an amazing price. Honestly I don’t even like seafood and I loved the catfish my boyfriend got. Highly recommend ☑️

Never ate here never will. The response to the customers is unbelievable. You don’t treat the customer like that. Either rectify the situation or stay silent. You ignore the people who has something positive to say just to reply to negativity. Not the best choice.

Took a long time for get drinks and food, the menu pricing is either out of date or he overcharged by $2 per plate. It looked like he was working alone, just wasn’t my cup of tea.

Amazing food and wonderful customer service! We came in Sunday not knowing the menu was limited – chose to do their buffet and we were not disappointed. Star of the show was the fried chicken, collard greens and pigs feet. Will be back again to try the rest of the menu!

They had a limited menu that wasn’t worth it at all. The food was super salty, some over seasoned and the gravy and mashed potatoes smelt sour and tasted terrible. The veggies were water logged an tasted like dirt water. The dessert display had old cakes and one had was super old. I wouldn’t go back even if the food was free. They’re other better soul food options in Midland. Didn’t even finish any food just paid an left.

I got the catfish with sides of sweet potatoes, and Mac and cheese. And can honestly say the best I’ve had since my momma. Just moved to town and will be eating here many more times. Also pecan pie was amazing
