Some dishes are better than others.. The goat meat (chivo) is a little hard to bite, and cazuela needs some more flavor. Guatita is amazing.

I was here twice. The food is good but the service is horrible! The first time we arrived at 5:30pm and the waitress was annoyed because they close at 6pm. She gave us an attitude the entire time. The second time I was eating an encebollado when all of a sudden water fell into my plate from the air conditioning unit above the table. I told the waitress and all she said was so move over! I then asked if she could switch my soup out as I had about half left I said just give me the same amount and she angrily took the plate and was complaining to the lady in the kitchen who said tell her to go somewhere else. After a while she returned and all the customers witnessed her being rude so I asked would you eat something that has water from the AC in it?? As she saw everyone agreeing she said oh its OK calm down. Although the food is good I refuse to return there!

I love coming to this place the food here is beyond expectation good quality and authentic traditional dishes. small and quiet family restaurant but you would not leave disappointed service is always friendly and polite. portion size is satisfying pricing is very reasonable. I come here once in a while and it’s worth the effort you always know what to expect and leave happy. for me to recommend this place to anyone I would have to invite them myself.

Food took almost an hour to come out. Ordered Gautita Bandera and my husband ordered sopa de Marisco. The guatita was missing mondongo, it only had 3 or 4 pieces and only 3 shrimps and a lot of potatoes. The seafood soup was probably some other soup they had already made and just added some seafood. You can tell it was not a seafood soup to begin with. Sorry but I’ve had better Ecuadorian food. This place is not the one if you are looking for some real authentic food. I will not go back.

I been coming here for years. The food is REALLY GOOD but the service stinks. I understand it may be family own but the teenager behind the register could surely help out more. Even greetings customer can help. I see one waiter struggling to pleased everyone taking orders at tables and orders to go, this causes long waits and frustrating customers. The waiter is the same one I’ve seen for years, she really tries her best but they really need to upgrade their system of how they run the front. I am aware the owner is the chef which is great and a reason why the food is really Ecuadorean authentic. The weekday lunch specials always change and I think it would really help them to write out the Daily Special somewhere a white board or a chalk board. This will give the waiter more time to do her job instead of having to constantly answer customers what the Daily Specials are. I feel like the running of the restaurant is outdated more like back in Ecuador and I think this hurts their business. I gave them 3 stars because of the lack of service but I truly belief they have potential.

I was very excited to visit Mamie’s when it first opened. However, the more I went, the less I was excited to eat here. First, I didn’t like the way I felt when I ordered food, the staff made me feel like I was bothering them by asking for a menu, and even more so when I ordered. They should consider smiling more. The only polite person was the teenager at the register. The food I ordered was inconsistent from one visit to the next. There are times when I ordered the same meal, and it would not be the same as last time I had it. Also, since the menu is Ecuadorian, it would really help if there were clear explanations of what the items on the menu are. I didn’t know what the names of the dishes meant, even though it was standard South American fare (rice, grain, meat), and it was aggravating to ask the visibly annoyed waitress what each item was. A menu with photos would go a long way to fix this.

Some foods are good special encebollado. But one thing that is unreasonable is that most employees there does not wear mask properly and do not follow biosecurity measures against covid

Ordered something simple, a coffee and a empanada before I made my purchase, I wanted to know what this other dish was made out of but decided to just stick with the empapada instead. I sat down and waited and after a few minutes, the lady came out with my coffee and the dish. I told her twice that i wanted the empanada and even pointed at it but some how she mixed up the two. She didn’t bother to check up on me to see if everything was ok even tho I was the only person in the place and the food remained where she put it. She would just look at me from the register. This place lacks customer service and you can smell bathroom water, from the register.
