I visited Mamma Bella for brunch with friends! It’s a nice location, directly across the street from the Maritime Aquarium, so it’s a nice location for families. The menu had a good mix of authentic and classic Italian dishes and pizzas, as well as American foods, so there was something for everyone. I also thought it was nice that gluten free options were available! The carbonara, Mac and cheese, and gluten free breakfast pizza were a hit with our group. The whole restaurant is so beautifully designed with a few good spots for photo ops!

Food was ok. Front of house/manager and the kitchen let the waiter down. Mgr was less than welcoming. The MGR Was short and abrupt with both us and the young person showing us to a table. The manager had us go to another table. A table that wasn’t set out. Not least practical for my 70yo in-laws and 4yo daughter (as it was a bar stool table). Three main courses arrived before we saw as much as a napkin, let alone knives and folk’s. My daughter’s (child menu burger and chips) arrived covered in salt and without the side salad every other meal arrived with. The meat ordered rare to medium was obviously well done.

Right off the bat I’d like to say that our server was very kind and attentive, and the two star review has nothing to do with him. I didn’t catch his name but he was a good server. He offered to take our photo and was all around pleasant.

New ownership, new management…Italian chef set the stage for the amazing experience my wife and I had. Everything was absolutely delicious…from appetizers to the desserts. Definitely not a slap it on your plate restaurant. Every dish was passionately and thoughtfully done. Ideal location…right next to the Maritime Aquarium…perfect for a family visit, a big party, or an intimate date for you and the one you love. Happy to give them my business! Memorable hospitality! We need more places like this that genuinely care about what they’re doing!!!

This was not a very good experience. When we walked in, we were seated by the person who turned out to be our server, however after seating us, we waited a long time and finally had to track her down for her to come back and take our order. She did not know the menu at all. She didn’t understand our wine order and we had to point out everything on the menu that we ordered because she seemed confused with our selections. We ordered bruschetta to start. It was seasoned chopped tomatoes on toasted white bread. It wasn’t awful, but not really bruschetta. The chicken scarpiello was certainly not what we expected. It was chicken breast in spicy red sauce. That’s it. No potatoes, no sausage, not even a little macaroni on the side; nothing but chicken and cherry peppers in a lot of red sauce. The chicken parm was probably the best of everything we had. But not the best we’ve ever had. Service was so slow in general and the restaurant was generally empty. Also, the music was an odd choice for an ‘Italian’ restaurant. It was sort of pop/chill lounge. It was also pretty pricey. Chances are pretty good we’re not returning.

Modern vibe, good food and service and location. It was dead on a Friday night 6pm but it was a warm day. In the pricier side. Kid meal was $13.

This spot is not to be missed! From the ambience, to the waitstaff, to the food itself – this place is the real deal! Big Joe was running the show on a busy Saturday and I was able to watch the reactions at every table – not a disappointment in the house! Everyone was raving about their experience. Such a find and can’t wait to bring friends and family back to try the whole menu!

I came here last night with my family and the food was delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and had a welcoming atmosphere. The service was excellent, and it was made even better by the attentive and courteous staff. I ordered muscles, calamari, pappardella al fungi and enjoyed every bite. Their pasta was really wonderful and cooked to perfection. Overall, I am anticipating my next return.

When you eat at MammaBella you feel like you’re with family eating a home cooked meal. I don’t know what to rank higher- the fresh tasting food, amazing staff, cleanliness, or wonderful environment. I have only fabulous things to say about MammaBella! I came with a group of 6 of us and we were all blown away by the quality.
