They’ve been in the restaurant industry all of their life; literally growing up in their family restaurant in New York and Florida.
Mamma Franca’s Pizzeria was created in remembrance of their mother. Fran was born on in a small town in southern Italy. All of her friends and family called her Franca, short for Francesca. They knew to name their pizzeria, Mamma Franca’s.

We tried this place for the first time last night for my husband’s birthday. The food was great and the service was great. I would go again and recommend to people to try it out. Ignore some of the ratings that are people just complaining because it’s not their taste. Or things like the store being too hot etc.(all things I bet they didn’t take up with management and or the owner before griping.. bad reviews for no LEGITIMATE GOOD REASON can hurt businesses. Give this place a shot the people working there were super nice and the food is tasty. Very fresh too it was cooking and then slid right into the box while waiting to pick it up.

I went there to just try the pizza because there are only a couple of places with Italian food I like and one of those is not to good anymore, so I was hoping the pizza was good to start with and I was surprised to find that it was far better than good. I even ate the pizza I brought home from there the next day and I do not eat leftovers, but their pizza is just as great the next day The people there were pleasant and my food got to me quick too.

We were tired and hungry and didn’t feel like fighting more traffic by driving farther through town. We ordered a simple 12″ pizza and raspberry tea. The pizza was brought to the table but no spatula or dishes to put it on, no silverware or even plasticware were provided. I had to ask for plates. There was barely any sauce on the pizza and the dough was limp. Hardly any flavor at all. The bacon was almost raw, barely cooked. We couldn’t drink the tea, worst taste imaginable. I had been wanting to try this place and support our local small businesses, and I wish I could rate higher. We won’t be stopping by for a second visit.

Seems like this place is starting to go down hill already. Waited an hour for 2 pizzas and 10 wings. The price is great if you get the deal. Little to no sauce on the pizza. I think the owner needs to pop in randomly here and thereto keep them on their toes

We ordered Lasagna & Chicken Parm. The Food was cold, they remade it. I don’t like all the black plastic dishes, black chairs, tables. Everything is very masculine, they cannot decide if they want to be an Italian restaurant or a pizza place. No pictures on walls, needs a woman’s touch or a field trip to Mandolas in Oldsmar to appreciate what they are trying to achieve…just my opinion… 🙂
