Great overall experience. Our waiter was attentive while also giving us time in between courses to just relax and enjoy our meals. The restaurant is small where you can have an intimate dinner with a loved one but still make friends/enjoy a conversation with fellow diners. The food is delicious and the wine is great. Cannot wait to go back. Thank you for an exceptional time.

Went there for the Italian 7 fishes Christmas dinner 2017 and it was quite horrible. It cost us $65 per person. We sat there almost 2hrs b4 we were served ANYTHING! When the food did arrive it wasn’t good. In fact quite bad. The people running the place didn’t seem to really care either. All i can say is never again

This was the first time we were at this restaurant. We went on New Year’s Eve and the menu was a fixed menu. The place is so nice, relaxing and comfortable and the food and service very good. Our dinner started with Italian cheeses and meats, pasta with the most flavorful meatballs, lentil soup, surf and turf and a delicious, homemade Italian cream cake. There was also complimentary carafes of wine and after dinner cordials. We could not have asked for a nicer dinner. I felt like family. Thank you, Mamma Maria for a very memorable time!

My family and I had a wonder dinner here at Mama Marias! We had the fix price menu which came with antipasto, soup or salad , 3 different pasta , and your choice of protein and a dessert! Everything from start to finish was delicious . My family and I even received personal service from Mama Maria herself! She was so welcoming , and explained all of our courses very throughly ! I would definitely recommend trying this delicious authentic Italian restaurant yourself! We will be back.

Loved everything about this place. Service was great as soon as you walk in the door. I know it’s cliche to say they treat you like family but they truly do. Everything we ate was so good. We met the chef and they give everyone their homemade limoncello after dinner. Just left and I can’t wait to go back.

Just got takeout from here and it was amazing! The prices are reasonable, the food is homemade and delicious! Mama Maria makes everything herself and she’s the sweetest lady. I went here pre-Covid for the 5 course meal and that was also delicious. This place is the most underrated restaurant in Philly.

They say what doesnt kill you makes you stronger well after eating at mama’s I wanted to kill myself. 7pm on a Saturday night we were the only people in there. Very poor service our waiter stood in the back and chatted with an old Italian mob looking gentleman who ate a Turkey and cheese sandwich which I wished I’d had the option of rather than the prison food i was fed complete with stain bread and prison toilet wine. And those were both warmer then my actual entree . There were no menus no options no prices. And when the check arrived 100 dollars and the waiter added a 20% gratuity. I didnt have any gratitude they should have paid me to eat there and for the potential ER visit for food poisoning. Place is a joke. I took a date to this place I hope I get a secound she probably thinks I’m mentally disabled or just have poor taste . Worst meal ever!!!!

Horrible, horrible experience! Went for the Christmas Eve Seven Fishes dinner. Absolutely will never go there again, food was horrible, tastless and cold. Service was worse than the food! Mens room smelled like a sewer. To top it off, it was extremely over priced. To add insult to injury, they tacked on a 20% gratuity! My Mamma’s cooking was never like this!
