Casual American-Italian restaurant with affordable and large portions. The spaghetti was way overcooked (mushy) but sometimes that hits the spot. The chicken marsala was okay, but not the best I’ve had. The focaccia w olive oil/balsamic vinegar served was also quite mediocre.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in & right away I knew customer service would be awesome! Our waiter( Michelle I think?) helped us with deciding what to order & everything was amazing! with the free bread, appetizer, & salad with entree; wasn’t even able to finish the meal so had a lot of leftovers! Very nice size portions! Will be back!

My wife and I really like good Italian food. This place doesn’t disappoint. The place isn’t that big but it seems like it when you are sitting in the really comfortable booths. The service was polite and fast. They give you some bread with vinegar and oil before ordering, I love that they do that. Reminds me of Bruno’s in Livermore. The chicken Marsala is top notch and a must try. It ranks right up there to Anthony’s Italian in Natomas. If you don’t eat pasta they will add more veggies. Remember this place is popular, make sure you call for reservations! We will go back again and again. Don’t miss this one!

Mamma Susanna’s was delicious! I had Chicken with Gorgonzola cream sauce my friend had Veal Marsala. He is still talking about it! The house salad and bread to dip in balsamic vinegar and olive oil was a real treat. They have generous portions sizes, enough for 2 meals. Great service and friendly staff. We will be back!

The restaurant had a mom and pop feel and located near Sac State University. Got there 1 hour before closing but they didn’t rush us out. The owner was very nice and always checked on us to make sure everything was alight. The food tasted good and if you’re looking for comfort food, try the pelento and spaghetti.
