Nice Italian restaurant love the atmosphere. Real Italian food! Subs made with real Italian rolls ( home made) how I know is because of the Italian restaurants near me! I didn’t care much for thier sauce, just a little different than what I’m use to, but still homemade sauce!

The dining room has a strange layout, a bunch of tables close together. One of the servers kept squeezing between my table and another, there was no privacy. We waited 1 hour to get our food, our nice server brought us bread but they were cold clearly frozen breadsticks. The food was bad, I ordered baked ricotta penne, no flavor and swimming in oil. I also ordered a balsamic vinaigrette with my salad and I think they gave me a cup of oil with a pepper in the bottom. I will not be going back.

My husband and I had lunch here Sunday. I started with a garden salad. My husband had onion rings and we shared a large original stromboli. The salad was crisp and fresh, the onion rings were hot and delicious. The stromboli was loaded with veggies mushrooms, onions and green peppers. The meat in the boli included pepperoni, salami and sausage. Combined in the pizza dough golden brown. Everything was so good. We enjoyed our lunch. We’ll be back.

The food is hit or miss here depending on who is working on the evening or afternoon that we come in to eat. We usually stick to the pizzeria classics such as the meat lovers boli, calzone, or their Sicilian pie. Their mozzarella cheese is better and more abundant than most local pizzerias, but the pepperonis and sliced sausages are wafer thin. We always have to zhuzh up our meals because the pomodoro sauce they use here is lacking in spices such as garlic, basil, onion, and red pepper flakes. This is very typical of pizzerias throughout the south central area of Pennsylvania, so we now carry a small container of spices in our car. Kinda sad that we have to do this, but it does help to enhance the flavor of the food here and make it taste like it came out of a New York kitchen owned by someone familiar with Italian cooking. The service here has always been great. Mostly young adults who are sometimes a bit goofy, funny, and entertaining, but they are also very attentive to the guests. Weve had food that was over cooked because the employees allowed themselves to be distracted with their antics, but they’re young, working instead of playing video games at their parents house, and they’re learning how to become professional yet friendly employees that will serve them well in their futures.

Every year when I come in town to visit my parents, we have to stop at least twice at Mama’s. We usually do once for Stromboli and the other time for a more sit down, where I always get the Penne Franciscana and a cannoli for dessert. It all just huts the spot. The family who owns the restaurant is from Sicily and has maintained many of the qualities of cooking there (we just got back from Sicily, so I’ve had a recent comparison). There’s something for everyone here, and it’s all well made and delicious.

I usually don’t have issues but my boyfriend went in there tonight to get our bacon cheese fries and turkey sub and they guy said that wasn’t what we ordered it was two subs and wouldn’t make it right. Granted it was late to make a bacon cheese fry because they said they already turned everything off but we already paid thinking it was a bacon cheese fries and a sub and then get out two subs. I’m just a bit upset of how it was handled I guess and I love it there.

Very nice restaurant. Prices are a little pricey compared to most pizzas places but the food is excellent and well worth the price. Servers are great. Food delicious! Will be back.

For the second time now, the girl taking our order messed it up. I asked for a chicken cheesesteak with sauce, onions, & cheese with sauce on the side. I got a chicken cheesesteak with sauce & onions on the side. The first she completely switched my husband’s & my order putting onions & sauce on his whole mine was plain. What a shame the food is delicious, but if the order isn’t right why eat there.

We are a Business and each time we order from them they can never get the order right . Let alone the sarcasm from the staff is ridicules. There’s no need to be sarcastic when people are trying to order food after a long day of work.
