I had a fantastic time, the food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. What a great New Orleans experience! It’s one of the few restaurants my local friends are excited to recommend, and I plan to return when I visit again. The wine list is extensive; the cocktails were good too.

Dinner, another hidden gem in the corner of French Quarter, European continental cuisine. “Gigot of Lamb” delicious dish! Cauliflower, Artichoke, Salad of Warm Field Peas, lamb was perfectly cooked, I absolutely loved the sauce. I had a tasty “mocktail” I forgot the name of it but it was ginger-ish flavor.

The meal was delicious, the wine was tasty, and the waiter was kind and on top of everything. The ambiance is so darn cute. I especially liked the lamb entree. It was beautiful and perfectly seasoned. Definitely save room for the warm madeleines for dessert. Only downside is no gratis bread service.

Fantastic! From the moment we walked in – friendly greeting, fresh flowers, cozy atmosphere. The appetizers we ordered were all delicious! The main courses were beautifully presented and tasted equally delectable! Then came the desserts. They were all delicious, but the flambe’ cake was amazing!! Overall, a fabulous dining experience!

I came here for the food. I ate at all the greats. The last night I was here I walked a block to Mamou. It’s tiny, so be prepared to reserve, unless you like to eat at the bar. I did, only because there are no reservations for one person. From the minute I walked in the door I loved it. The decor is very clean, but also feminine (an abundance of flowers). The food is unrivaled in this city of food. The person next to me was eating the chicken, which smelled so good I wanted to steal a forkful. The person on the other side was French. I heard him say more than once that it was the best salad, and then fish he had ever eaten. I had the house salad—no sad tomato, slice of cucumber and lettuce. This was a bright green salad with parmesan flecks, red onion, and a vinaigrette that might have had celery seeds or something celery like in it. Delicious. I also had risotto, normally good but predictable. This was, by far, the most beautiful presentation with baby radishes wrapped around the shrimp. Also delicious. This a really rare and special find in a city known for its food!

Amazing!!! The food is just as gorgeous as it is delicious! Nice to go to a restaurant who takes care with every detail these days and not just an assembly line. Chef Tom is truly talented and it shows. The warmth and professionalism of the staff was refreshing. The atmosphere was inviting and not stuffy at all. And you couldn’t ask for a better and more knowledgeable host than Sommelier Molly. We let her feed us and had her pair wines and it was perfection. One of my best dining experiences in a long time. Go!

What a wonderful culinary experience! Tom Branighan and his Krewe do a phenomenal job of bringing French cooking with a southern twist. The dishes are creative, well thought through and above all delicious. Stars of the evening were the Poisson Florentine and the Cassoulet with red beans, together with great staff and creative cocktails.

We had the pleasure to be able to dine in on opening weekend and had a truly incredible experience. From the cozy and beautiful dining room to the attentive and friendly wait staff to the unique cocktails and impressive wine list to the incredibly delicious French cuisine, we couldn’t have ask for a better dining experience. Mamou certainly did not disappoint and I cannot wait to go back!

If you’re looking for a great meal without fuss, this is the place. You must try the mushroom shiitake app. It was mind blowing. And the wine list is impressive. We had a Chenin from South Africa that was one of the best Chenins I’ve had. We will be back!
