My food, 3 eggs home fries bacon and toast of my choice was hot crispy and great. The place is slow and the coffee keeps pouring. The parking is easy and everything nearby is great: a lake, hardware store, Amish buggy, horses and people. If I am within 10 miles, then you will find me here enjoying the great food and people and I won’t be in a hurry.

Menu changed with new owners, which really disappointed my husband. Used to have the “Barn Raiser” special on Saturday nights which included a two entree all you can eat meal including salad bar, no long an offering. He had meatloaf w/saled bar instead, liked it. I had salad bar only, it was good. My father had fish and chips – the fish was enough for 3 meals and cooked perfectly. The main issues were that the service was very, very slow and while we waited for our food we didn’t see our waitress to refill our drinks. The table next to us had the same issue, while they waited their glasses were all empty. Improve service and we can deal with menu changes with the new ownership. We will give it another try.

BLT and sweet potato fries was a great quick lunch. Good portions on everyone’s meals. Waitress was working hard, glad to support a small-town restaurant!

I have been a few times since it has switched owner’s. This is the first that I have had a long wait for food. The waitress Kyla I had was excellent. Made sure that the coffee was filled at all times. All ways came and checked on us. The servers where on top of there jobs. The kitchen staff however where not. I had the biscuits and gravy and my mother in law had the blueberry pancakes. Even though we waited about 40 minutes it was worth the wait.

Never again. We ordered the special stuffed chicken breast. My food was warm dry I asked for more gravy to see if that would help any, and my wife’s chicken was not edible so we sent it back. The waitress when explaining what was wrong she then turned to the table behind us and asked them if their food was bad. Smh why? She said she would go back and ask the cook what to do. She came back and asked me if we wanted something else but by that time my kids were done eating just their fries and was ready to go. What makes me so mad is that they took the plate with most of the meal still left on it, mashed potatoes and the stuffing. She did get to eat a roll and a side of coleslaw that was given before the meal came out. So in the end they took $5.00 off the meal which is a total rip off when you couldn’t even eat the main entree. So you got $70.00 out of us tonight but never again.

Stopped in for the fish fry dinner….( our 1st time here).. It was AWESOME… Nice little soup & salad bar as well ., which is what my daughters got … nice small country town restaurant… loved the decor and ambience. Very friendly staff…. Can’t wait to return and try many more menu items .. ( forgot to take food pics :0)

Not up to standards meat was dry and kind of tasteless bland my mother’s sandwich had no mayonnaise. My aunt’s meal my aunt meal was supposed to be chicken and biscuits I think they forgot to put chicken in it. I have had better meals from there I don’t know if it’s because it’s going to be turned over to new ownership but it was not very good.

I’ve been going to the Dutch Treat since I was a kid (1980s). Heck, I love the place so much I had my wedding rehearsal dinner there (1991). I’ll admit they had some rough patches over the past two years. The pandemic hit every restaurant hard. But I am here to tell you THEY ARE BACK and THEY ARE BETTER THAN EVER!
