Great place to enjoy incredible music and good Pizza and beer. Ask for the Thiner pizza crust – awesome especially with sausage, green olives, bacon, and onion with light cheese. And…… Bocce!

Had the shrimp scampi and was pretty good. More creamy than what I’m used to in a scampi sauce but was still pretty tasty. Had calamari and fried ravioli as appetizer and was also good. Was with 3 other people and every one really liked their food. Price is very fair for portion and flavor, will be back. Their pizza also looked pretty good which I did not try but will probably next time I visit.

Holy awesome pizza dough! The sauce was a little bland, but the loads of olives, pepperoncinis, and other toppings made up for it. The pizza is well worth the price and the spinach dip was also enjoyable. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly wait staff, visible pizza kitchen and stone oven… We will be back!

Seriously the best personal sized pizza I have ever had and I consider myself a pizza snob! LOL! Hot stone oven made for the perfect crust on the little hand tossed pizza I was able to request to be made thin-crusted. Very friendly atmosphere at the bar too and nice selection of Italian and Michigan wines.

My family and i love this place. A cornerstone of saline. While i am sad it is closing (and smokehouse replacing it, boo!), i count myself lucky to have eaten here as their menu is the best. I will miss them greatly. I wish the owners the best. Please, if you get a chance, go taste their wonderful food as they close their doors on February 26.

On the positive side, the service was friendly, the lasagna and chicken pasta dishes were good; the bread was fresh; the Italian salad dressing was homemade and decent tasting. On the negative side, this is an Italian restaurant that does not serve espresso or cappuccino, and uses a Keurig machine for their coffee. If they are going to use Keurig, they should use an upper end blend that has some flavor (e.g. Community Blend Dark Roast). The table was not cleaned well when we arrived. While the lasagna was good, they used packaged noodles rather than making their own pasta. Finally, the urine smell in the men’s room is very bad. As a former restaurant Maître D, I would suggest they put ice in the urinals as other good restaurants do. If I could give 3.5 stars I would rather than 3 stars; but an upscale Italian restaurant with packaged pasta, no fresh brewed coffee and no cappuccino or espresso available will not score higher. If they correct these issues and stop taking shortcuts, they could certainly become a five star restaurant.

I understand that restaurants/ bars have their moments witch is why I have made several visits before writing this review. Mangiamo’s seems to be confused, its prices lead you to believe you are dining at a fine Italian restaurant, however when your plate arrives you find this is not the case. In fact the food seems to be microwaved, and taste only confirms my suspicions. But prices are not the only thing this Mangiamo’s seems to be confused about, the place is split into three sections a bar, a restaurant and a pizza parlor, the menu reflects this confusion as well. I would complain about the staff however, I have never had the same watress twice making me wonder why they can’t maintain their staff. All in all I would rate this restaurant at two thumbs strait down and will not make the mistake of returning.

Knowing Mark Ferguson as I do, it should be noted that he is both a convicted felon, as well as a former employee of Mangiamo who was fired for being a thief, liar and cheat. Having an axe to grind is pathetic, get a life Mark. I have been to this restaurant many times and find the food to be exceptional (the family has 25 years experience with pizza) and the atmosphere, decor and service to be top rate! Way to go Mangiamo, Saline now has a nice mix of downtown restaurants!

Stuff deep dish pizza is some of the best around, rivaling Pizza House. It’s caused me to not want anything but premium pizza for now on, and for $25 it’s a perfect deal.

Went there for dinner. I ordered veal parmesan and iced tea. The tea didn’t have enough ice, it wasn’t cold. The “veal parmesan” was chicken parmesan. I was suppose to have bread (the menu says you get bread), but I had to ask for it. Our server asked the manager and he said that since the veal and chicken parmesan cost the same, no adjustment would be done. I said fine, we’ll just never come her again and I’ll be sure to mention it in my review. He came back later and said it had been taken off the check. I would think the manager would want to come over in person, but he didn’t. I should have given 2 stars, but because they did take the veal parmesan off the check, I raised it to 3 stars. It seems to be more of a sports bar than a restaurant. They really need to upgrade their game.
