Food was good got a central park grilled sandwich and 2 hamburgers one of those was a combo and 2 extra drinks and chips not bad for 31.00

Went after the lunch crowd, so it was pretty empty. Thought this place would be ok, but I turned out to have had, one of the best “simple” sandwiches I’ve had. The bread was so soft, all the ingredients tasted and looked fresh. When I’m in town again, this definitely will be a staple. Delicious!

Nice soup, great sandwich (lots of variety), friendly staff. Nice, peculiar place hidden behind a somewhat sleazy door. Interior actually rather classic and nice.

Nice fresh soup and very soft marble bread. Definitely will be back. Reasonably priced as well

Good food had a French dip and the meat was good quality and good flavor. Bun was toasted and overall was happy with my order. Fairly busy over the lunch hour.. calling ahead would be a decent idea (but not a must) if you’re in a hurry. Price was decent for a non chain restaurant.. figure on around an 8-10 dollar lunch. Nice casual atmosphere.

My daughter and I used to meet here several times a year for lunch together. After visiting last Wednesday, we both came to the same conclusion…. that was our last time. We were in love with their Rubens, but these were awful. The meat was all dried out and flavorless, the sauce had no taste whatsoever. It appeared more to be like Mayonnaise with something Orange-ish in it. We were really disappointed.

We got there 30 minutes to close and I guess the lunch rush was over, it was completely deserted, but they were still friendly. The sandwiches were great, good combinations of flavors. Cool building and atmosphere.

Manhattan Deli offers great soups and sandwiches in the downtown area. This is a very overlooked place to eat. I’ve never once been disappointed, nor have I ever noticed a large crowd that you might find at other eateries in downtown. There is plenty of seating and it is easy to get to. Definitely worth checking out for a quick, cheap bite to eat for lunch.

This is a downtown gem, from the old style hand lettered menu boards to the quaint, private seating areas, and welcoming smiles at the order counter. What a welcome reprieve from chain restaurants! Sandwiches are always fresh. Soups are terrific. But my personal favorite has long been the Oriental Chicken Salad.
