This restaurant serving soul food is an absolute 5 out of 5! Every dish is top-tier, fresh, and tastes like it’s made by a true southern mother. It’s a must-try! The collard greens, Mac and cheese, potato salad, French fries and all the sides are exactly like how it’s made on the thanksgiving table with love! This place has their seafoods on point, I can talk for hours about how good the battered shrimp was, crispy, not oily at all and you can actually taste the freshness of the shrimp not like the other place around the corner off Evergreen. Not only is the food great but the customer service is A1 Every single customer gets treated like family. This place is a must try when visiting Metro Detroit if you want to try what true soul food is!!

If i could give them a zero star i would i got the 10 piece shrimp and they fried it so hard i couldn’t eat it and when i called to get the order fixed he told me that’s how we cook it you should’ve asked for it to be fried soft it was my first and last time going there most disrespectful man that answered the phone y’all just lost a customer wouldn’t recommend this place

The very first time I ordered from them And the macaroni and cheese had MOLD in it. Will never be back as I am allergic to mold and don’t even want to be in the store when mold is growing there.. might have to go to the ER to get checked for infections after this meal……

Had me wait 15 to 20 minutes and the food was cold I didn’t even take it out of the store. They gave me some fried chicken with some dirty grease. The french fries was cold after waiting that long and then they had the nerve to charge a dollar or more for using your card

Chicken was great might be the best fried chicken I’ve ever had, I’m not quite sure what this white powder is that they shake all over it though. I ordered in store and it did take a long time, but it was freshly cooked and everything was to order. Seemed really popular must’ve been 20 people in and out while I was waiting. It appears the way to go is to order online and pick up.

I first tried Manhattan Chicken last week. My friend was looking for a place to get a large order from for a funeral repast and thought he tried one location near him, but wasn’t sure. I suggested we get a couple dinners from the place near my house and try them out beforehand. We called on Sunday and asked how and when to place a large order and they were really informative.
