Great food and good service. Breakfast served all day. I recommend the corned beef hash of you are in the mood for breakfast. The burgers are really good as well. The onion rings are delicious as well.

Came in from SD. Came every day of our stay. Great atmosphere, amazing food and even better staff. Susie was our waitress most days we were there. She was so kind and welcoming. She made us feel right at home. HIGHLY recommend

Neighborhood dive bar, been there forever. Kind of rough interior. Something was going on with part of the wall and there was black plastic covering a large part of it. Seemed questionable to be open during remodeling or whatever was happening. Place was not overly clean, kind of a patina of ground-in grime. Needs a major freshening up in terms of decor. Our server was ok and friendly enough. I got the tuna melt, which was fine but the bread was pretty burnt. The tater tots were good, pretty hard to screw that up. Mediocre experience, may or may not return.

Beer was flat. Fried Chicken was dry and completely tasteless. Don’t know how they got the chicken to be completely void of taste. Nice neighborhood bar feel.

An iconic bar and restaurant in Northeast Minneapolis, It’s has that “Cheers” like feeling. Amazing food, crisp clean draft beer, and some of the best onion rings in the city. I might be a tad bit biased since my great-great grandfather started this place nearly 100+ years ago. But places like this are a dime a dozen in this day in age. If you’re ever in the area be sure to check out this historic neighborhood bar and restaurant that has been there for almost a century.

We like to eat at small restaurants to keep money in the community. My husband changed jobs in October of 2022 and passes by Mannings daily and has been talking about picking up dinner there on his way home from work. Today was the day he stopped…he ordered 2 roast beef sandwiches, one with chips and one with tots along with an order of onion rings. I took a picture of the onion rings to show how dark and overcooked they were. They didn’t taste like onions at all, just greasy batter. The tots weren’t season and also greasy. I gave two stars because the beef in the sandwich was tender and very good. It would have been nice to have au jus with it.

TL;DR: Manning’s continues to be a solid place to visit any time of day, a fact that has been true over at least two decades since I started coming here. Their food is great, their beer is kept super cold and the service is friendly.

This is a favorite stop every time I’m in the Twin Cities. He always get the onion rings for sure and free popcorn from the bar side. Their soups are great. This last time I was there I had the sausage sandwich.
