Great food, cozy vibe, sophisticated decor, and extraordinary service! My husband and I came here for the first time to celebrate my birthday and Travis and Thony took great care of us! I’m not much of a Mediterranean food type person, but Mara’s take on it was so good! The food was flavorful and curated beautifully. Highly recommend!

Located inside the Four Seasons Hotel in North Loop, this establishment has one of the best decor settings I have seen anywhere in Minneapolis, and I think the fact that it is inside the hotel most likely has a lot to do with it. My partner and I went there for our wedding anniversary and we had a great experience there for sure. Our server was very nice and very attentive to our needs. The food was tasty in general. And it was just a great time after getting out of the pool upstairs while staying in the hotel.

Incredible service & food. I personally have dined at all of Chef Gavin’s restaurants and they never disappoint. Mara is no exception to this. Table was ready upon arrival. Nicholas was incredibly knowledgeable about their cuisine and was eager to talk with me about the fine details. Staff makes you feel welcomed and well taken care of. The food is creative and well thought out, presentation is on point and done with finesse each step of the way. I dream of having the skill that the chefs at this establishment have achieved.

I normally don’t wait to write a review for 4 months. My wife said something to me that made me rethink how I review a restaurant. She felt they treated me more importantly than her at our dining experience. I don’t know if they looked at my profile before dinner, but they gave me 100% of their attention. When we were asked for feedback, they only looked at me. She explained how she felt, and I said I am so sorry. She was trying to do something so nice for me on my birthday. Thanks to my wife for giving me a special night.

Worth every mile traveled, every penny spent, every bite chewed. Impressing us beyond the food, the perfectly paired libations and atmosphere, was our phenomenal server Travis. Our meal was curated step by step, from cocktail to appetizer to dessert, even stunning photo ops. This staff does not take lightly the decision to dine with them for any occasion, and we could not have chosen a more warmly curated restaurant to celebrate together for our 10 year anniversary. My husband and I both pride ourselves on our years in hospitality, and recognized quickly the genuine and receptive expertise that Mara and its staff pride themselves on. 10/10, sell your firstborn and dine here, cannot recommend enough.

Amazing brunch experience! We had an amazing time celebrating my husband’s birthday. We had the crab eggs Benedict, shasuka, and the olive oil cake. Perfect spot for a nice celebration or when you feel the need to be fancy for a day.

Trying out new restaurants is a hobby of mine. Being a vegetarian can limit my choices, that’s why I give more points to places that cater to my diet not just as a lip service, a small section on a large menu, but give it as much thought as any other item on the menu. Mara had a separate menu printed for vegetarians and it was a breath of fresh air. The flavors were marvelous, the ingredients fresh and the presentation on point. I appreciated how the crudites were served on ice cubes. Even a dish as simple as fried potatoes with aioli was perfected.

The restaurant was beautiful!! The atmosphere was friendly and everyone was amazing! The food though, where to start. Every bite was spectacular & the pricing was not crazy at all! I recommend getting the lamb shank & 1 of each dessert! I had a hard time choosing one and I was happy to do one of each. I am going back most definitely!
