I stumbled upon this restaurant knowing nothing about it and only in town to run errands. The building appears as a small café on the outside. Inside, it’s an enclave of elegance. A total shock. There is a rather thorough wine bottle selection visibly seen, yet cleverly incorporated into the upscale décor. My server (Kelsey) was personable and great; my food rivaled finer establishments in larger cities. I enjoyed the Mushroom Lobster Egg Rolls (appetizer) and the delicious Stuffed Walleye (entree). Menu specials often change as the chef tries new ideas. Come here whether you wanna treat your boo…or yourself…to fine dining in an unexpected niche of distinctiveness in Lima, OH.

Ambience is very good and it feels like you are just eating in your garden. Inside is like eating in your own cellar. Staff and owner is very friendly and accommodating. Food is tasty and good but I think it’s a bit over price. The good thing with this restaurant is that it seems that they can cook your food the way you like it and how you like it done as they don’t put much in the menu. It’s kinda like made to order which I found really great. We will definitely go back again.

I’m from out of town and I’m doing work here in Lima found this place on Google maps was not disappointed by any means the food was great my waitress was great the plating was very good as you can see and the bread pudding was the best I have ever had

First time here, cozy little place. Friendly, professional service with a limited menu which let me know right away that quality was at a premium. I was not disappointed. Had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. They did a great job, steak was cooked perfectly and I would’ve stayed longer had I not had to drive an hour home. Will definitely come back when I am in the area.

Escargot was delicious. Loved the salmon with Brussel sprouts. They have a truly extensive and excellent wine selection. Waitresses were personable and responsive. Definitely recommend Mara’s!

The food was okay for the price, but plan on a 2.5 hour dinner, and I got the wrong steak. I feel bad saying it because the woman was so nice and we want to support local businesses but for the price we would have gone somewhere else.
