I had the pleasure of dining at Marcello’s, and I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for a delightful dining experience.

Food was excellent, through & through. Had main, drink, & dessert and all were delicious. Server was very friendly & even helped me choose from the menu, since they had so many amazing options. Was very happy with what I got, ate every bite. I’ll be back again to try more!

I am still relatively new to Lafayette and had heard many times that Marcello’s was the best Italian in town. After going there for the first time over the weekend, I really hope that is not the case. First, our service was excellent so my rating here has everything to do with the food. We started with two appetizers because I was starving and could make a decision; the calamari and the fried cheese. I enjoyed both, but the calamari will be my choice if I ever eat here again. For out entrees, I ordered the Lamb Ragu and my girlfriend had the Linguini Tritone. I was very underwhelmed by the lamb ragu, especially considering the $42 price. However, the linguini tritone was simply gross. I even had my girlfriend order the larger portion because I was certain I’d eat the leftovers the following day. Instead, she ate only 4-5 bites of it and I had a couple as well. It had a very strong “fishy” taste to it that you wouldn’t expect from the lobster, shrimp or crabmeat in the dish. Also, the cream sauce was very bland aside from the aforementioned fishiness. I do plan to give Marcello’s a second chance because several menu items appeal to me, but it won’t be anytime soon.

Enormous, great meatballs. Spaghetti was average. Great tiramisu. Highly recommend the veal piccata!

Marcello’s is hands down my favorite restaurant in Lafayette. Great wine selection! Try the Pork Cheek Marsala!

This is a nice Italian place. It’s upscale but not too fancy. It has a nice ambiance and they sell many bottles of wine. I got the truffle Mac and cheese that was small but really rich with thick chunks of pancetta. It was very tasty. Then I had the eggplant Molli which was so good! The pasta was a little on the dry side, but the eggplant was perfect. We had the chocolate mousse for dessert. It was really rich and delicious. You can easily share it.

An amazing choice if you’re looking for something more upscale and romantic! A bit pricey, but well worth a splurge for an occasional date night away from the kiddos. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was incredibly friendly. We will be back!

Bre was our waitress and she was incredible! We had a lemon basil martini, cappuccino & biscuits, meatball, peppers, onions & sausage with burratta, and gnocchi in a red sauce, lobster crab and shrimp linguine, limoncello cake, ruby port, Italian coffee and a bottle of Rombauer Chardonnay. Everything was good although I enjoyed the peppers more than the seafood dish.
