I just moved here from Arizona and have been looking for a good Mexican food joint. I have been to a few in the area and none were that good, I came here this morning and got two bacon breakfast burritos. The food here literally brought me back to AZ and the authentic Mexican food I grew up eating. They also make menudo on the weekends which I am very excited for! Definitely great food! “Marcelo’s” was a great find – Good portions and prices, simple and clean. Friendly owner and service. No ‘chips and salsa’ but left feeling full without ‘heavy’. Steak tacos were great, sopes were perfect, and quesadilla good meat & cheese mix. We stopped in when driving through town and enjoyed enough we made it our stop on way home, would recommend.

This humble establishment is incredible. You feel like you have been invited into your grandmothers kitchen. The staff are friendly the tables are always clean. The American Mexican food is good but the authentic Mexican food is absolutely fantastic. Their simple dishes are expertly prepared. The owner should be very proud of the food he serves. My first time visit to this gem of a restaurant! My husband and I enjoyed our food very much! He ordered 2 Sope traditional with Barbacoa onion and cilantro 1 taco Mexican style with Seasoned Pork/Al Pastor. I ordered 3 tacos Mexican Style (Corn Tortilla, Onion and Cilantro) my meat of choice was delicious Pulled Pork/Carnitas. Sorry I didn’t get pictures, it looked delicious and smelled amazing and we just devoured up the food. Amazing prices and excellent service. Worth a repeat!

Low key almost hole in the wallish type fare. What it lacks in amenities and aesthetic is made up for with arguably the best tacos I’ve ever tasted. And the pork quesadilla I had…are you kidding? I’ve driven by the little gem countless times before finally taking a chance. If you’re looking for awesome and simple Mexican food, search no more. Passing by on your way to Notre Dame? Get off 31 and drive about 5 minutes and get a quick bite. You will not be disappointed. So good.
