My grandfather used to come here often so I figured I’d give it a chance as I was visiting the old neighborhood. I was excited to read about the changes they were making on their website but couldn’t really tell what had changed. The server wasn’t particularly friendly. Seemed to be in a bad mood. Food was alright. The shoe string zucchini was amazing I will say.

My sister and I took our 96 year old father (and a few others) to Marco Polo Restaurant & Tavern for an early Father’s Day lunch. The food, atmosphere and service were exceptional. The owner was our host and waiter. He is extremely friendly, personable and welcoming. Our delicious meals were served promptly and the lunch portions were very generous. We plan on dining again at Marco Polo again soon.

I’ve been going here for years. Great Italian place where the food is very good. I like going here due to the low key atmosphere, but dine in mentality. If you are looking to taking the kids out for a low hassle dinner without going to a chain restaurant, this is the place. It has two floors, but last few times I’ve been there it’s been very quiet.

A little disappointed in the serving sizes this restaurant has always served amazing sizes so I’m confused why the dishes look rather small. I also ordered Grilled Cajun Shrimp and on the menu it explicitly says it comes with zucchini, red peppers and mushroom- didnt see it at all.

Excellent, Angela our Host is the best! Keeping an eye out making sure all is perfect, and it was! The Owner was also present overseeing everything to make sure our visit was outstanding. We chatted briefly which is always enjoyable. If you haven’t been to Marco Polo Resturant I highly recommend you go there. If you’ve been there come on back!

Attended a retirement dinner last night. The atmosphere is charming even if it’s a little dated. Our server Mayleen was absolutely wonderful even though being short staffed (a remnance of Covid, which the restaurant can not take blame). Mayleen managed to get everyone served with only a short delay and without a hitch, all while keeping a smile on her face. The food, I must say, was very good, with very generous portions. However, the presentation needed some work. I had the Chicken Balsamico. The chicken was with a good balsamic flavor served over pasta. However, the color of this dish was not appealing to the eye. I would have placed 2 sprigs of asparagus over the top and maybe some fresh diced red peppers or tomatoes for added color. Our party had 4 choices of entree. Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Balsamico, Tortellini Alla Panna & Grill Salmon. If there was ever evidence, the food was good. Every plate was cleaned or taken home only due to portions. Overall, I would recommend Marco Polo. My niece, who lives in the same town, dines here often as well. I usually don’t write such long reviews, but this restaurant deserves applause.

Attended an event upstairs recently and was not impressed with the quality of the food. Even the soda (cola, and Shirley temple) that probably came through the soda gun at the bar tasted as if the lines could use a good cleaning.

Sadly not the same restaurant I remember. Our server was not friendly, our wine glasses were dirty, he didn’t check how our dinner order was, french onion soup had barely any cheese, they were out of scallops and clams for their advertised “special” at 5:30pm on Friday. “Jumbo” shrimp was cut in half and medium size at best. Will not be going back.
