Little gem~ at the airport of all places, food was really good, which most of the time is hard to find at an airport. Food truly authentic, at least what I had that day. Staff was amazing, waitress was very friendly professional and had really good recommendations. I was in love with the murals at this place, service was quick too. This place is before crossing the security check point.

Probably the best Mexican food you’ll find in Reno— definitely at the airport. They also have restaurants in town, which I bet are even better than this one. It’s a great place to wait for someone arriving at the airport because it’s right between arrivals and baggage claim. Drink a margarita and watch the losers throw their money away in the slot machines just in front.

This was probably the first time I ate quality food in an airport. The food was fresh, the service excellent and the price fair.

Perhaps the worst Mexican food I’ve ever tasted. Guac was brown, chips were stale, soup was cold, salsa inedible, carnitas tasted like they were made last week and we’re the driest most flavorless thing of them all. Even for an airport, sensationally terrible.

We generally try to pass the security gates before sitting down somewhere for food or drinks, but in Reno we make an exception. Mari Chuy’s has the friendliest bartenders and pretty good food & drinks (peach margarita and shrimp burrito were delicious today)! They also have oranges and unique Mexican sweets, if you want to grab something for the flight.

Decided on a treat for lunch, stopped in here, order the soup, nachos and Fajitas. The “soup” was thicker than porridge, the nachos were swimming in oil and cold, and the Fajitas…no idea, because they never arrived! The lady serving us was more interested in serving the guys at the bar, than ensuring we were taken care of. Oh maybe they were busy…right? Well there were 6 people in the establishment, not sure what the reasoning was for the exceptionally poor service. When I mentioned part of the meal didn’t arrive – was told “oh…sorry about that, I must have forgotten…” Bummer as you always want to support local, but when this happens it literally leaves a bad taste.

Here in Reno on business and decided to grab a bite. Probably the worst place I’ve ever given a chance. I ordered the special for today which was nachos with fries and meat. My nachos had bones in it which was the kicker. Likely the worst service I’ve ever gotten. I’ve had better service in Harrison, Arkansas compared to this place. If you come do not come after lunch time. The lady working the bar has horrible service. Service is everything.

This restaurant has definitely the best Mexican breakfast options. House-made chorizo, house-made machaca, chilaquiles, breakfast burritos and more. Breakfast ends at 11am so get in here. I went for the machaca.

Tonight I ordered chicken & Al pastor tacos and a carne asada burrito – plus a lime and mint mojito. The food is always delicious, wait staff is very friendly & the location is great! Love Chuy’s & will always recommend them when in midtown.
