Solid tex mex restaurant. Great chips and salsa. Service has been great the times we’ve come. The portions are large, you definitely won’t leave hungry. They also have really good lunch specials and drink specials on certain days.

I think it’s ridiculous how I come in to a restaurant to enjoy a night out with my husband and have to listen to the hate spew out of the owners mouth along with his employee. Even though she was off the clock, the conversation was very rude. The discussion was very degrading to Democrats. Your political beliefs are your political beliefs and it’s totally acceptable. However, when you’re running a business, that topic is inappropriate. Each time that we come to Maria Mia’s, we spend at least $200. We’ll never come back again and I’ll make sure everyone I know knows exactly how you feel. I promise you that! Once again, your political beliefs are your political beliefs, but when you’re having your discussions, be aware of your surroundings. I’m sure that most of your staff would hate to hear the things that were coming out of your mouth or your employee’s mouth (your glorified hostess).

This is a very nice place to eat. The portions are LARGE, enough for two meals so you definitely get your money’s worth.

This place is a total embarrassment to College Station’s endless options for Tex-Mex. Once I saw the Fajitas for 2 was almost $37, my soul lifted out of my body. If you want two tacos with rice and beans, get ready to spend $11.99. The house margaritas are $7.99 for a small and $10.99 for a large (the glass size can be deceiving, too, as the waitress would not tell me an ounce difference). The chips and salsa were straight from a bag like everyone else is mentioning. Flavorless salsas. I unfortunately ordered the smoked brisket enchiladas and had to send them back. I have never sent food back in my life! It was as if I bought prepackaged brisket from HEB and threw it in some prepackaged tortillas. I sent it back to get the El Mario (beef enchiladas with gravy) like my mother and they made sure to make them from scratch. They were edible but my mother said the gravy reminded her of Wolf Chili. There was nothing special about the rice or the beans. The only thing that got me through the meal was the margarita. I’m very surprised the manager didn’t come talk to us about the brisket enchiladas…the waitress said “the manager went to the kitchen to see what happened.” No, he didn’t — he walked around the bar area unperturbed. $65 dollars later and we are both feeling beyond nauseous. Boycott this place. I miss Ninfa’s!

Walking in this restaurant feels very elegant and clean with nice murals on the walls. Very delightful. We were greeted immediately and sat at a booth which was very comfortable. We were then greeted by our lovely and very attentive waitress. We ordered queso, the three enchiladas plate, Pozole, and Chicken Quesadillas. The queso was a great consistency, so I would recommend that for sure. I personally liked the chicken quesadillas the best. The enchiladas were super full of cheese but I wasn’t a fan of the rice with peas in it. That’s my personal opinion though. For dessert, I ordered a slice of the cheesecake and it was so good. Have to try it!

The drinks are great. They are pricey. I’m not going to say they are worth the charge but they are definitely not afraid to give you liquor in your drink instead of syrup. The food was good. I’ve had the ribs, they were very good, the beef fajitas and they were good. We also had a dish with grilled chicken covered with rice and a mushroom sauce topped with 2 large jumbo shrimp… it was good… I pass on it because I don’t do mushrooms. It’s worth your time.

My wife and I had dinner here and couldn’t have chosen a better day we were sat immediately and not even 2 minutes later we had our server. Starting things off with 2 margaritas the green apple was something different but taste really good but the watermelon on ice was by far better, we ordered food next and because it wasn’t so packed we got our food in great time, the El Manuel burrito was stuffed with refried beans and chunks of fajita meat with a heavy scoop of queso on top I didn’t put my fork down until it was gone. I will definitely be returning for more great times there

Maria Mia just became our go to place for fantastic Mexican food!! The margaritas were the best I have had in BCS and we have been searching for some time. What I love about this place is that it has an old world relaxing environment. No TVs blaring at you and spaced every five feet. Just a calm dining experience. I love it and we will be back soon!!

The food at Maria Mia is delicious. The ceviche was on point and I ordered the shrimp bruschetta which was flavorful. They have an excellent set of chefs. The problem is the service. First of all, when we arrived they took our name and said it would be about a 20 minute wait. After 30 minutes, I went to the hostess desk and enquired about how much longer it would be and they said that they would seat us now. What if I hadn’t asked? They took forever to serve us, the Margarita I ordered, you could tell had been sitting at the bar for a while before it was brought to me. Halfway through his meal, my husband ordered a second beer and it was brought after he had already finished eating. Whoever is managing the wait staff doesn’t know what they’re doing. Hopefully they get it together soon.
