Have been looking for a small mexican restaurant to add to our ‘favorite places to go to’ list and this is the place. The food was favorable, the server friendly, the portions large, prices quite reasonable and it had a nice atmosphere to it. If you are looking for a small family business with good food, stop in.

If you are craving fresh, reasonably priced, flavor filled authentic mexican food food and are either in Absecon, NJ or on the way to Atlantic City, NJ, then definately add Mariachi’s Mexican Resturant as a place to stop by at. The portion sizes of their ground beef chimichanga and chicken chimichanga were generous, both were served with a good helping of rice and beans. Plus, everything tasted like it has been home made. Delicious! And if like me, you crave something a little sweet after the meal, their three milk cake (pastel de tres leches) is to die for. It will probably be one of the freshest and tastiest cakes that you’ll ever have and will definatively make you want to come back for more, even if it’s just for the three-milk cake and coffee.

Definitely not the place to go for budget take-out. I guess it depends on what you get, but we spent nearly $100 to feed 2 adults and 3 small children. The restaurant was clean, but a little dated and not much to look at. The food was only ok. The adults got enchiladas and the kids got burgers and tacos. We also got elote (street corn) which was a little better than ok. That being said, the food was fresh and hot. And I also got an horchata which was actually pretty good.

Small local eatery featuring authentic Mexican dishes…tried the vegetable enchiladas and chicken sopes both were delicious. Friendly helpful staff….FYI they are closed on Saturdays

Flavorless and expensive. Plain meat, no seasoning on anything. I was so surprised (based on the reviews) how bad this place was. Based on the prices you’d expect to get at least decent food. Can’t express how disappointed I was. The small bag of chips pictured cost EIGHT dollars. Insane honestly

Have been going here for years now and it’s one of my go to Mexican restaurants in the area. I’ve tried plenty of different menu items and haven’t had one that wasn’t great. Prices can be a little steep for sides but I have no other issues. If you check their Facebook page they update with any specials they have

Just moved back to south jersey and was looking for a quick bite. Very cozy place and the decor is traditional and vibrant. The service is amazing. The food is really good, and the prices are reasonable. Try their hot soups! Especially on those cold nights. Tamales are yummy!

After three experiences here I’m fairly certain the prices here are subject to change based on the customers race. I won’t be coming back again now that I know “how it is” here.

I ordered the steak with onions online for $13.95. When I went to pick it up they charge me $18.95. I don’t believe the meal was worth that much. The steak was tough and the onions wasn’t fully cooked. It used to be a great place to go and eat Mexican food. I don’t think it’s worth it anymore.

Excellent fhahita. 2nd portion of chips should be free. Green sauce needed to be added.
