Blanco Tequilas
Bottled within 60 days of distillation, Blanco Tequilas are the youngest of all the Tequila classes and often regarded as the purest, because of their quick barrel to bottle time. The more time Tequila spends aging in a wooden barrel the more complex it becomes. Some purists prefer the fiery, agave-intense character of Blanco
Reposado Tequilas
Reposado Tequilas may “rest” in wooden barrels for a period of 60 days, but no more than 1 year. Resting tequila in smaller barrel batches results in a stronger wood character which works to soften the Tequila from its Blanco state, hence the term Reposado, for rested
Añejo Tequilas
Añejo Tequilas are aged for a minimum of 1 year in government sealed barrels, each containing no more than 600 liters of Tequila. Añejo classification suggests that the Tequila is well rested and mature with the subtle nuances from the type of barrel used for aging. Until recently, an Añejo classification was the oldest any Tequila could receive
Extra Añejo
As of 2006 the CRT approved Tequila’s 5th classification, Extra Añejo. Tequilas aged longer than 3 years in government sealed barrels containing no more than 600 liters each may carry the Extra Añejo classification. After 3 years of maturing in oak barrels the Extra Añejos have gained a sophistication and smoothness that rival even the best Single Malt Scotches and Cognacs

First and last time here. The waitress very nice . The chips were good but the salsa too runny. Surf and turf burrito was to small for the price and the tortilla was microwaved. Fried quesadilla was good portions and son enjoyed it. Chicken tacos the chicken was dry. The carnitas lacked flavor. So overall we enjoyed the decor the waitress the chips and the fried quesadillas. The bill was $78 and I don’t feel it was worth it.

Street tacos are awesome. Chips and salsa were ok. The salsa was too runny and made a huge mess. Service was incredible. No chorizo??? Pineapple in too many dishes for my liking.

Best part: amazing and extensive tequila bar! Maria’s is locally owned and serves American style Mexican food. The rustic decor and open kitchen make for a comfortable and inviting experience. This is not a little taqueria, but more of an upscale experience.

Great food, great atmosphere. Loved the Smokey mezcal margaritas! The guacamole was pricey for the small size, even given avocado prices. But the staff were friendly and we’d go back.

Kylie is such a wonderful server! She remembers what we like and is so welcoming. Last night we let our picky child order off the adult menu for the first time and were so surprised when the food came out. We hadn’t remembered that what she ordered came with salsa on it and Kylie had the forethought to put in the order as sos. Truly saved our night.

This was my first time back to Maria’s since before Covid started and I really enjoyed it. The folks here were all really nice and our waitress was the consummate professional. We sat outside on the patio. My family truly enjoyed their margaritas and I went with an 805 blonde ale that was cold and refreshing. Their tortilla chips are now my favorite and I am generally not a chip eater. They were a perfect compliment to the flavorful guacamole and oh so tasty salsa that was sooo good that we took a pint home with us. The shrimp tacos were delicious! The carne asada plate came with enough meat for two people and was okay. The pork tacos were tasty and spicy. They offer whole beans as well

Very beautiful restaurant really enjoyed the outdoor dining. Was here for the happy hour drinks which were very nice and refreshing. Give them margaritas a try and they’re really good. I had the carnitas which personally were pretty basic. The food was good but I like mine spicy and well seasoned. Service was good maybe a little slow.

My son liked his carnitas tacos and my prickly pear margarita was delicious but the mole had no sauce, just the tiniest hint of a flavor. I would not recommend it. I have ordered mole all over the southwest and have never had such a pinche mole! They won’t bring extra sauce, I had to get a red sauce because it was so dry… next time I will order something else!

Maria’s is incredible! The food seems very authentic, I ordered the molé and it was soooo good. The indoor venue is nice, good and comfortable seating. The outdoor patio is really nice with excellent heating when it’s cold, I would imagine a night out with margaritas on this porch would certainly hit the spot. Make sure you hit Maria’s when you’re in Woodland!
