Great friendly local owned staff. Fajitas and margarita great. The chips weren’t fresh that day. Salsa veggies everything else great. Gotta get the chips right for fans of Tex Mex, as in the title of the restaurant. Start making them fresh daily would be a great start. …….Update…….after response from owner……thank you for stating you would look into it, whether your chips were made fresh on site daily, or boxed cardboard. Please let me know when you figure it out. Thank you.———-update #2…..2/22/2023 actually today everywhere was annual Margarita day. Enjoyed. Chips are a lot better. Nice salsa. Enjoyed a steak salad. Was in Buford for a festival and looking for great Mexican close by to meet friends. One suggested Maria’s so off we went. There is plenty of parking and a great location across from the Community Center. We were just after the lunch crowd, and it was busy but not packed, and no wait. The service was excellent. Our server made suggestions and kept our chips and salsa full. While we looked over the menu, I noticed the prices are a good $3-4 higher than most mexican restaurants I frequent. It is Gwinnett, so very likely higher everything. Our neighboring table got their food, which looked amazing. The slasa is fresh and chunky, almost Pico style, and the chips are thin and crispy. I ordered the make your own combo with a chicken soft taco and chicken burrito with beans and rice. It was really good. One friend ordered the fajita quesadilla, and one ordered the chimichanga with black beans. We all enjoyed our lunch. Again, we found the service was excellent. Noticed a lot of families and larger groups coming in. Would definitely recommend and go again if in the area.

If you’re looking for good authentic Mexican food…..this is NOT it. Every had no flavor. The guacamole look and taste like whipped ice cream. Ambiance wS nice but food not good.

We came in with a last minute party of 11 for Mothers Day. The entire experience was wonderful! The food was delicious and our server Karen was amazing!! This was our first time here and we will definitely be back!! Thank you Karen for making our Mothers Day so enjoyable!!!

Great ambience but the food seriously lacks in flavor. We had to add salt to everything including the salsa. If you love chips and salsa just be aware that you have to pay for chip refills. I feel like the price per serving size needs to be reevaluated.. definitely on the more expensive side. Probably won’t revisit.
