Got off the plane for business and saw a 4.8 for some soul food and was not disappointed. I got the rib plate with sweet potatoes and Mac n cheese. The ribs were great fall off the bone. The Mac was so good but the sweet potatoes… lemme just say I’m not a fan of sweet potatoes but she recommended them, so I tried them… yo these were a freaking dessert!!! So good!!! Needless to say I’m coming back and will and already have recommended this place!

Well, I’m going to give my score on this restaurant outside looks very exquisite I like it the food is very pricey with less condiments such as the $15 meal party wings it should be a breast or a thigh or a leg besides party wings. They are actually three wings cut up into six pieces. Should be more chicken to get a bang for your buck the macaroni and cheese make you want to slap your mother don’t do that lol the greens takes me back to my old family tradition From the south the sweet potatoes oh my God on cloud nine on God the overall score I will give it is 8.3. It’s OK but it needs to be more chicken tho I would’ve gave it a 10 the customer service representative was very friendly. We shall return pretty soon. 8.3. The fried chicken was very bland not season properly. Wasn’t the great ingredients in the fried chicken. But the food was OK. Since you have an nonchalant and arrogant attitude towards me I have given you 8.3 the rest of food was ok. I just said more chicken a bang for your buck . I’m not contradicting anything I’m just stating facts I supported you because you are one ☝️ of us just I could have went to Golden Corral or a buffet for that price but instead I have chosen you. To help black businesses but I can go elsewhere no problem. Your case is dismissed without prejudice go somewhere else, and Try this case.

Think your favorite Aunts, or grandmothers Sunday homemade dinner. If soul food is what you’re after, this is the place! The quality of the food never fails. From the catfish and chicken to the sides. So so good! Also the price is on point! For the portion size and quality, we’re definitely getting a good deal! It’s not fast food people 😉

What a find! Chicken and rice with gravy was out of this world. Marie could charge double what she does for the portion size and the quality! Tried every side and it’s impossible to say what was better: macaroni, collards or sweet potatoes. Can’t wait to come back on a Sunday for the dressing. Would love to see sweet tea added to the menu—it’s the only thing missing from this amazing meal! Thank you, Marie!

I go out of my way to find black owned and operated businesses whenever I travel. Sonthis was my first visit to Wisconsin and Madison. The first business I tried was a total bust. So I asked someone in the area and they recommended this place. I was so relieved to find this place. I was beginning to think that I would go hungry in Madison. Well Marie’s saved my life! The service was fast and courteous. I ordered the fried chicken plate and the rib plate. I had to get enough food to last me the last few days in Wisconsin. Everything was hot and delicious. The macaroni and cheese was made with real cheese. The yams were actually fresh not the canned ones. The greens were good too. Cornbread was good not dry at all. The portion sizes were good also. I could tell that they washed their meat. If you know you know. 10 out of 10 I would recommend.

I’ve seen a lot of mention of price so I’m going to start with that. 35-40$ for two meals and an extra side and cornbread is VERY reasonable for todays economy. I have nothing but great things to say about our phone call inquiring, ordering and picking up. Pleasant smiles and delicious food! My husband and I in total tried the catfish, chicken, Mac and cheese, collard green, sweet potatoes and corn bread. Truly 100% delicious!
