Walking into Valhalla, you don’t expect to find phenomenal Italian food there. It’s grimy, the walls and floor feel like its age. That’s why we love it so much there – it has that Olde Austin punk, IDGAF feel that is so hard to find amongst the neon, “cutesy” bars with punny and Instagrammable signs inside nestled among a fake ivy bush wall.

Loved Valhalla’s for a long time as a sanctuary on Red River, and food was the only thing it’s been missing. The kitchens new and close to something really special – enjoyed what we had and excited for them to keep improving! Start with the bruschetta, and go nuts from there!

Great Italian food in a dive bar. Ravioli is homemade and marinara is delicious. I know where to go before or after my next concert at Stubbs!

The pasta here is the perfect comfort food. We enjoyed our meal so much that we ordered an extra helping of dessert pasta. We will definitely be back soon!

Marinara Miracles is outstanding. Not only is their food amazing but they are incredibly friendly and have incredible specials every week. They make some of the best (if not THE best) pasta dishes in Austin. They also always have great vegetarian options and their portions are perfect! Get a drink and have a 5 star pasta dinner at Valhalla, one of the best bars in Austin.

I’ve been in Austin 15 years now. I’ve never experienced any Italian food here, that was both reasonable in price and GOOD! Being from the east coast, this has always bummed me out.

They make their own pasta! I didn’t realize til I was picking it up. Food was good. Meatballs were dry and I wished there was a bit more sauce, but I really enjoyed the fettuccine Alfredo and cheesy garlic bread. Would order again.

Food was outstanding!! The smoked mozzarella sticks with the pesto ranch were amazing. I also got the pepperoni grilled cheese with smoked onions… woah. So good! My husband got the chicken parm sub, which was also great. Best comfort italian I’ve had in Austin! The bar is super low key and bartender fantastic. Check this place out!
