Tasty food + beautiful scenery + attentive service, what more can anyone ask for? We were a party of five, arrived at Kingston by boat for brunch, and this restaurant was right there by the water to welcome us. It’s an extra large establishment, with spacious outdoor seatings and a sizable team of waiting staff. Any eatery that can satisfy this non-drinking vegetarian gets a 5 star. Everything we ordered is shown in the photos of this review, except for my son’s plate of Fish and Chips – he sat a bit far for my phone camera to get a good angle. Although I did not taste everyone’s choice, esp. the non-vegetarian options, I could still recommend this restaurant with confidence, judging by my fellow diners’ level of satisfaction.

Well, I definitely will never be back here again. Took forever for the waitress to take our order. No salad with meals anymore, our bread. Asked the waitress if the stuffed shrimp had real or imitation crab meat in the stuffing, and she kindly went back to ask the chef who informed her that yes, it was real crab meat. Now, if you’re a chef at a restaurant, you should obviously know your food/ ingredients. When we finally got our food… roughly 40 mins after ordering, It turns out that the chef had lied to the waitress about the stuffing and actually used imitation crab. Now, this is a seafood restaurant, if your going to cheap out on your ingredients, then shame on you for even making a meal with fake stuff. The breading was like eating a soggy pasty bread. The rice was even more undesirable, bland, and unseasoned. Such a disgraceful practice. I then advised the waitress that it was imitation crab and not real crab, and she said “I”m sorry.” Didn’t ask if we wanted anything to replace our meals and didn’t even send the manager out to us. Cheap, garbage food.

We made a last-minute choice to stop in, and the patio experience was top-tier. Very accommodating to us eating with both our child and dog (many other well-behaved dogs were enjoying the sunshine too), service was friendly and fast, and the food was delicious. Other patrons were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. A great stop for Sunday lunch with the whole family.

Nice view of the Hudson River. Seated quickly for a late lunch. Hostess and Wait staff friendly, courteous, and attentive. Fair prices for tasty, seafood and non-seafood choices. Nice alcohol drink selection (didn’t taste any, though). The only negative, numerous gnats try to taste the food we ordered. We did sit outside and it was muggy. We did have a mallard duck walking past, maybe looking for a bite to eat?

Overall this place was very good I had minor complaints. I loved the service very nice and attentive staff! I didn’t really like the squid ink cocktail, just tasted like too many different things mixed together. The garlic wings didn’t taste at all like garlic which was super surprising, because I could see it all over them… Idk it’s like it was watery garlic pieces. Other thing is my steak was a bit over cooked from a medium but other then those minor things it was very good! They have excellent shrimp! The deserts were fantastic too, glad I saved room for them.

Wow! My lobster roll was delicious, and the serving size large, on delicious warm bread. I told the waitress that it was better than the lobster rolls I had in Maine, and I meant it. The price was much better too! I am an out of town visitor, and stopped in after a boat tour on the Hudson. I did not know that I would receive $25 off my Birthday meal. Wow again!! Delighted with the food, the dining experience, and the Birthday gift!
