First time visit to Mario’s on an impressive $20 voucher received in the mail. My spouse and I went for Sunday brunch after church which was appealing that they offered a special menu for such. The prices at the restaurant were slightly higher than what was previously observed on the web. For some reason, our server felt that the grits served there were not worth ordering, so I didn’t get to sample my favorite breakfast food there. However, the donut holes made onsite surely made up for that little snafoo! My spouse enjoyed her Shrimp Benedict, which was a win too. My western omelet was also very good and loaded with freshly cut ingredients relative to the item. Downside was it is a bit pricey for a basic Sunday brunch menu. If you are looking for an establishment with plenty of immediate seating and don’t mind paying full retail of approximately $50 per couple, it may be worth treating yourself to trying a new place. We may be back for a special occasion to sample their dinner options!

I’ve only ever had takeout, but every time we order from here the food is amazing. Definitely fresh and delicious Italian food. I love the lobster ravioli and garlic bread, but the Alfredo and Stromboli’s are great. On the pricier side but worth it. They also have a drive through which is a bonus.

I would give 5 stars on service but I couldn’t find the hostess for about 5 minutes. As I was getting ready to leave somebody showed up and got me seated. I was the only one waiting for a table at the time. The slice was good and the complementary garlic knots were good. I’ll come back because it was a good lunch overall.

Went for a pickup order. The middle aged hostess took two phone calls as I stood waiting. Acting as if I was invisible. She got of the phone and preceded to talk to a server. The server looked at me and I said “hello?” And she said “yes hello”. I said “yes I’ve been just standing here no one has said anything to me” the middle aged woman said “I was on the phone”. I said well you aren’t now. As a customer service professional myself, it’s imperative to deal with in person customers before phone customers. And definitely greet customer before taking a second call, or put in on hold first. Please train your employees. Food is ok.

Last night was our first time to Mario’s in Matthews! Their outdoor patio was a great space for a gathering. We did get good service. It was nice to have our time to chat and socialize with friends we haven’t seen in a while, without being rushed.

First time here for my wife and I. The menu looked a little pricey, but quality usually is. They sat us with garlic knots and marinara, they were so good. We tried the brick oven pizza on special, fig and prosciutto and the margheritta. I really liked both of them, my wife not so much. Excellent service, we will be back

We found this place on a whim, drove out of our way for what it looked to be authentic Italian. We were sadly mistaken. The chicken parm was rubbery in some spots. The eggplant parm was drenched in egg, very soggy and spongy. The pasta wasnt drained all the way I could feel the water in my mouth as I chewed. I make better Italian food at home. We ate as much as we could because we were starving. Highly disappointed! Def a one and done!
