Amazing place… be prepared for unique-ness in every way. Tiny kitchen with a big heart. Sorry I took over a year before going here after being in Bow, WA. Don’t know if there are any ingredients that are organic and/or local, yet the whole place cries out with enthusiasm for both.

Loved this place. Realizing their small space, yet they are all hustling to serve a ton of people to the best of their ability was impressive. The wait was a bit longer but was understandable. The tacos were worth the wait. A lot of outdoor seating, a small indoor dining space. If you are expecting $1 street tacos, this place is a bit more elevated. Pricing was higher than expected but at the same time we can’t stop thinking about our meals.

This place is great! The food is colorful, flavorful, and has a unique spin on traditional Mexican dishes. We stopped here on a whim and are happy we did. Service was friendly and a large outdoor seating is always a plus.

We have been coming here for years for the taco. Just recently they added some more amazing choices to the menu. The tamale is delicious as are the gorditas, pair with fresh horchata and you are in for a great lunch. The new owners are great and their cooking skills are amazing.

We visited Mariposa in Edison on a Saturday afternoon. We sat outside in their garden seating. We ordered mole and gorditas, and a wet burrito plate. We ordered Tempache to drink. The food was flavorful. The gorditas were crisp on the outside and soft in the middle- they have a great bite. The fruit was fresh. The Tempache was made of pineapple juice, orange juice, mango, and cinnamon over ice, if I rememeber correctly. Traditionally, I believe Tempache was a fermented drink, Im not certain this one was, but it was good. If a good blended salsa is important to you, you’ll find that here as well.

Some of the Best Tacos – anywhere! Mariposa is a stellar gem in this quaint little town serving some of the best Mexican food ever. Everything is fresh and homemade, from the handmade tortillas for their tacos to the delicious and refreshing horchata, and you can taste the love that goes into every dish. We absolutely love going for lunch and breakfast and have never been disappointed with any dish.
