Git there about an hour+ before closing on a Friday night. So was it kinda empty for the atmosphere. The music. The choice they had going was good. Service was polite and friendly. It looked like our waiter was new to the waiter seem. So he did ok. We got chips and salsa along with jalapeño relish that they brought to the table. As an appt, we got the white queso that was amazing. It was very light but filling all at the same time with great flavor. One of us got a steak and cheese quesadilla. She said they were really good. My kid got a ground beef burrito that looked a lot like an oversized enchilada with hot sauce on it. She liked her burrito a lot but was filling. She also got Mexican rice on the side. My girlfriend got a chicken fajitas dish… also very good. After a tried a bite or 2. As for me, I got a mango shrimp dish with rice and beans, which came with a side salad. It was delicious. All in all it was a good restaurant for a good meal. Also, my girlfriend got a margarita that must have been delicious as it was put down quickly.

Decent food and great outdoor venue – great location right on Main Street but nothing particularly unique on the menu – service was friendly – limited drink menu – all together a nice dining experience – if your in the mood for Mexican and/or Tex Mex – this will check the box

Maritas has been around a while I’ve forgotten how authentic and delicious it is. The portions are an awesome size. The tacos were packed full of flavor. My server kate was very polite and helpful! The bartender Robin was full of personality and charm! Amazing food and staff

Atmosphere was beautiful; still looks like the one side is under repair as I believe the location was once a dry cleaner? The food looked appealing but still bland from the old Marita Cantina no seasoning style; needs a chef with authenticity or they need to add some salt to the food & a shake of pepper! Had the Mango Shrimp wrap and a side salad but I wasn’t impressed with the taste just the presentation and that was barely decent. Went around 9pm and it wasn’t too busy so that was nice compared to when I tried to come before and there was a 45 minute wait. Staff was nice for the most part! I would come back but bring some Sazón with ya!

Our party is stumped as to why this restaurant only has a 3.9 rating. The service was accommodating and attentive. The food may have taken a little longer than most Mexican restaurants, but it allowed us to enjoy the outdoor patio area while vacationing in the area. The food was excellent, especially the Mexican Rice Bowl. The only reason for the four stars for atmosphere is that the no-smoking policy was not enforced on the patio, even though a sign on the hostess stand served as a reminder.

Sorry that I didn’t take photos, but I didn’t think I was going to do a review. To start, the chips and salsa were nothing like you would expect from a Mexican restaurant. To be perfectly honest, the salsa tasted like it had ketchup in it. My daughters ordered an appetizer of boneless chicken wings that were clearly right out of the grocery store freezer section. When the waitress handed me my plate, she said, “Be careful as it might be hot,” which was fine. However, my chicken enchilada was lukewarm and dry and was placed over cold rice that had the salsa mixed in with it. Would have been better off going to a chain Mexican food restaurant or had my daughter in law make some of her delicious chicken enchiladas and saved the money. Mediocre lunch indeed won’t be returning or recommending Marita’s Cantina. Definitely not the Marita’s Cantina from 30+ years ago. Sorry to give thumbs down on a cute place that brightens up downtown Stroudsburg.

We utilized the new private event space to host about 40 people. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. The food buffet was delicious. The owner was very easy to work with and he went above and beyond all of our expectations. I always have the same thing here the taco salad with an ahi tuna over it. It is reasonably priced and it is so yummy I would like to have it everyday for lunch! And additionally I also get dinner out of it because it’s so big you can eat it for two meals. However my brother my client and my best friend of all gone with me and they have had all many different dishes vegan salad in a taco bowl to the multi options of chicken beef etc

Great atmosphere, service, and margaritas. Food.. not so much. The salsa tasted more like marinara sauce. The empanadas tasted like they had breakfast sausage in them. Forget the tacos. Inedible. Believe the negative reviews. It’s a shame because the patio was gorgeous at night, and our server was attentive.
