I heard at lot of positive feedback about Market at Main in Lynchburg, so gave the Boonsboro one a try with a friend. She really enjoyed her meal, but I didn’t care for mine, especially for the higher price. I ordered the salmon burger with fries – the fries were very greasy, unsalted (?), dark brown and overcooked. The salmon patty didn’t have any flavor and was a bit overcooked as well. The waitress was very unattentive even though we were her only dine in customers at the time – she kept talking with coworkers in the kitchen instead. Unfortunately, even though it’s a cute eating area, I won’t be going back…

My wife’s biscuits and gravy were awesome. The sweet potato pancakes were the best I’ve ever had. I usually smother my pancakes in syrup, I didn’t use one drop. They were so moist and delicious it would have been criminal to change the flavor at all. And our server was very efficient and friendly. This is about 2 hours away from where we live but we’ve already decided it is worth the drive.

I’ve eaten here several times over the years and I keep hoping it’ll get better. Alas, today was my last try. They have never been able to cook eggs. Every time I order them they are overdone. Over easy means runny yoke. Never happens. The potatoes were not cooked all the way through today which really added an extra bit of joy. Also, for some reason whoever was cooking used a ton of orange tinted seasoning that made its way into everything, including the gravy for the biscuits and gravy. Criminal.

The food was disgusting, the wait was long, and there were a bunch of nasty bugs that my friends child found…We could see it from our table, yuck. Not the first time either. Wouldn’t reccomend. I’m transgender as well and my ex wife and I still enjoy each others company but this place is not accepting.

Food was great for the price! Atmosphere was quaint. Very enjoyable! I was a little disappointed with my cinnamon roll which was quite crunchy. Hard to chew. But my main dish was very delicious!

Hubby and I visited for the first time and was excited over the great reviews and delicious looking menu. We were there for 50 minutes and STILL NO FOOD! No drink refills. Guests were coming in after us, eating, paying and leaving and there we sat. Hailed a waitress and told her about our wait – and that we were leaving Waitress said our food was”almost ready” and offered to bag it up to go. No thanks!! Not even an apology or explanation. They were busy but seemed adequately staffed. Won’t be back. What a shame!

Fairly decent food but the service is horrible. We were treated like we were an intrusion by condescending wait staff and management. We will never, ever pay to be treated so rudely at this place ever again.

Always good for a happy brunch. Check out the menu photos I’ve added. The Eggs Bennie are divine, poached to perfection.
