I hesitate to write this because I don’t really want you to go there (it’s never crowded & I like it like that). The quality of food is outstanding and the staff is extremely friendly. They also have a sweet little patio outside where you can enjoy the breezy foothill weather. It’s casual fare in that you pay first and then the waiter brings the food to your table. $10-15 lunch & beverage. Obviously I like stopping by before or after a shopping trip to Nordstrom – but surprisingly enough there was an equal amount of men and women enjoying the cafe.

What’s on here for lunch after an unsuccessful effort to go to Din Tai Fung without reservations. By the way, they do take limited reservations now. Marketplace Cafe was thoroughly Pleasant with good food. I had a turkey and cranberry sandwich switch came with a side salad. The portion was generous and the price reasonable given how restaurant prices are up in the wake of the pandemic. We sat on the patio add a large table. Chairs are comfortable the table well shaded by an umbrella and the are pleasantly cool and breezy.

Very nice Cafe. Food and service is great. The soup and salads are wonderful ! Make sure you leave room for dessert!!! The Royale and lemon bar are amazing!!! Get the Royale warmed, it’s just amazing!!!
