The experience at Martha’s was truly a treat! I stumbled across an Open sign on a Sunday evening (on Mother’s Day!) without a reservation and was promptly offered the first available table by a cozy fire pit outside by the wonderful hostess. The live music was lovely, the service was just, impeccable! And the food… I can’t wait to return to try everything on the menu. Thank you so much for making my long road trip feel so warm and inviting. Truly a surprise treat.

Our dinner was great – make that reservation – the food is very fresh and very flavorful! I am usually so so about dessert but consider getting one of these desserts. They are delicious I had a tiramisu that rivaled some of my favorite places in New York. I got so excited I forgot to take a picture of it. Friends had the coconut cream pie and homemade ice cream sundae. All very tasty.

The food was excellent. We waited 15 minutes before our waiter came to the table, when he did it was like he didn’t want to be there. We had a 8:15 reservation so maybe it’d been a long day. There was a table of 4 in the dining room that were obnoxiously loud…we could barely hear the conversation at our table. Unfortunately this killed the atmosphere for me.

The atmosphere on the outdoor patio with soothing live music set the tone early for Martha’s Leelanau Table. Raphael, our Waiter, made excellent suggestions and knew the menu and specials like the back of his hand. Despite being short staffed, the service exceeded every expectation. You can often tell all you need to know by the bread an establishment serves. A perfectly crunchy and chewy crust with a fresh soft middle got the evening going. A complimentary bowl of the red bean and pork chili was robust and flavorful with large chunks of tender pork. However, the braised short rib my wife ordered and the Surf and Turf I chose were some of the best meals we have ever enjoyed. The New York Strip was prepared to a perfect medium as requested, and the potatoes au gratin were rich and tasteful. I can’t recommend this place enough. A true gem in Sutton’s Bay.

The servers and other employees at Martha’s Leelanau Table were pleasant and professional. Martha was not. She was repeatedly rude and condescending to my family and made us feel unwelcome. She coldly refused to accommodate our seating requests and made comments about my niece implying that having children is a mistake.

Pitifully overrated. Service mediocre, sticky vinyl table coverings, food is common for the price , and they started putting chairs up and closing procedures before diners were finished. There are local bars with better ambiance. This is the first time I’ve been here and the last. It’s too bad as I’m local.

This was by far the WORST service I have ever received. I walked in ready to have a great night celebrating my wife and my anniversary, however I was turned away, not offered a wait time and told to “come back in December”. Do not spend your money here. No matter how good the food is, not worth it. I’ve dined at much nicer places with better service.

Martha’s quaint and atmospheric vibe makes it an ideal location for a quiet lunch. Starting with their soup de jour and the raclettte, both dishes seemed freshly made while their sandwiches were fantastic and possessed a homemade quality you don’t find at larger restaurants. 10/10 would try again.

Martha’s was great! We sat out on their patio, which was so cute. It was a little chilly (we went at the end of September) and they gave us little throw blankets to use at our table! The waiter was very nice and very knowledgeable. A great place to go for our first anniversary!
