We were staying in a nearby cabin and stopped in for breakfast after seeing reviews. It’s definitely more restaurant than store. Has a nice little restaurant inside. I would recommend breakfast. The biscuits were so good. We had a biscuit sandwich & biscuits & gravy. Enjoyed both. Nothing fancy but delicious. Also inexpensive.

My husband loves the burgers here. They really are the best. However the wait time was nearly an hour and then my fries were not fresh and hot. I think for the money we pay and the time we wait, we should get piping hot fries. I think they have 2-3 people working at one time. For Milam, Texas this is a hot spot. For me…not worth waiting an hour for a burger.

Very unassuming place from the outside. The burgers were top notch. The patty itself was quite large. The veggies were fresh and the buns were toasted perfectly. The little Drury got the quesadilla and ate all of it, so that should say enough about it’s quality. I’ll be back on my trips through east Texas.

If you are looking for a place that serves a great country breakfast with the eggs cooked to perfection in a comforting and welcoming place…this is it! We’re only staying for a week nearby in an Airbnb but have been here for breakfast 5 times already. Super friendly peeps and down to earth atmosphere. Nothing fancy, trying to live up to its name, thank God!

Stopped by here on my way to look at a lake property of Shane Allman and the steak sandwich with a side of onion rings was the best I’ve had in a long time! Everything was cooked fresh, great service and clean! Definitely will return and recommend!

Got thru with my football scrimmage and needed to eat. It was close to closing and they were kind enough to allow to order. I got to catfish plates. Man they were sure good. Thanks Shelia and the gals on duty last night. Update, was going out of town and stopped by to get some good catfish, fries, salad, baked potato. Wasn’t anything left in the plates. It was all great. They were busy tonight, orders coming food going out. They did a good job keeping everything flowing well.
