This was a place we stopped for brisket on the way home from the Coast. I enjoyed the old diner atmosphere. The food was pretty good. It was priced at a great value. That was very Appreciated.

Very awesome almost hole in the wall BBQ place with it’s own historical marker. So much about this unique location from the atmosphere, friendly family that runs it and not to mention the awesome BBQ!

It is this quaint place that has been up and running since 1925. I can totally imagine it being the hangout place for Aggies once upon a time. The photos on the wall will walk you down the history of Texas A&M. The owners were so friendly and kind enough to show me around the BBQ pits that has been operating since 1939 (I have no idea how they remain there in this Texas heat). If you are in BCS area and want to grab a bite at someplace historic, Martin’s place it is.

Pull up and support one of BCS’ longest standing BBQ joints. Best BBQ in cstat in my opinion. Great prices. Nice staff. Sauce is a vinegar base which isn’t my favorite but I can’t stay away. Get in here and experience the tradition of Martin’s Place BBQ

This is a hidden gem not just in Bryan but in all of Texas. Martin’s is exceptional and a must-do whenever you are in town or passing through – the BBQ is incredible.

Don’t get in a hurry if you go here to eat. Small mom and pop place with a lot of history. The service is very slow but the sides are fresh so maybe that is what takes a while. I enjoyed the setting and the food decently food overall. The ribs were really good. I’d say better than the brisket. The brisket was good but a little dry. Thankfully they had some good sauce on the brisket to make up for it. Overall the flavor was good but I’ve had better brisket in Texas. I’d recommend taking in the history but just prepare to be here a while.

It’s like tasting BBQ history. Excellent! Pit smoked beef & pork ribs, tangy classic sauce, homemade potato salad, fried okra satisfied.

Wife and I drove from Fort Worth to eat here. Come for the food and slow leisure meal. Started in 1925, now working on 4th generation. This is also a history lesson of how it was and still is. Menu has a large selection of meats and sides. Try a cold lone star with it. We had cole slaw, french fries, and beans. Cole slaw not soupy or bitter, french fries were hot and beans well seasoned. Meats were fresh, hot, and cooked perfect. Check hours before going. A perfect way to end the day.
