Looking for Udon in Waikiki, be prepared to wait in line at this spot. This location is a popular, udon noodles are made fresh along with several options for deep-fried sides. The bowls were not bad, is it worth the wait in the 30-45min line….No… but there are time when they are less busy….I recommend that. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

is it worth the long cue? it depends. No doubt this place is one of the best value meals, quality is excellent as far as their specialty. it is not The Best, if you are an aficionado of udon noodles but it certainly is good. probably one of the longest lines you will suffer for noodles but the value proposition is hard to beat. my advice is get there for brunch at 9:45am. doors open at 10am. it is cafeteria style food line once you enter. Their selection of tempura fried goods are a fun treat, get a variety with you udon. they have free ice water so don’t waste your money on soda.

Marugame Udon truly lives up to the hype! The food is absolutely amazing, offering a unique and delicious menu that will leave your taste buds begging for more. What’s even better is that their prices are incredibly affordable! It can get very busy and the lines can be long, but trust me when I say it’s definitely worth the wait. If you are on a time crunch though they do offer take out that you can order through a separate window or through their website. This restaurant is a must-try!

This place was recommended to us by three different people who were locals. It is a no frills kinda place. You go through a cafeteria style line to get what you want. They were making the noodles fresh when we walked in the door. The food was fantastic. There is always a pretty long line to get in for dinner. We came back for lunch and the line was considerably shorter. Well worth the wait. The only reason I didn’t give a five for atmosphere is because it is a no frills place. You get your food, you eat, you leave.

Got the Gyudon bowl and sweet potato and zucchini tempura. Very yummy! The only thing that would’ve taken my entree to the next level was fresh veggies or a side salad with the bowl— otherwise, very tasty!!

This place we stumbled upon and so glad we did! The food is phenomenal and for Hawai’i pretty affordable, bonus. The line moves pretty fast and luckily we went at 5:30 so the line wasn’t long at all. If you’re in Waikiki put this on your agenda

Cheapest meal for the family during our visit and everyone was full. Pretty amazing food yet the price is reasonable. Highly recommended and I guess you don’t need my recommendation and you will still go anyways.

They make their Udon new and Fresh, always busy but not a long wait. Broth is really good and the food is always made fresh. Not expensive, one of the best Udon places you can go to anywhere

A must go when visiting Waikiki. First and foremost when you get there be ready to see a large lineup. But don’t worry, it goes quickly. We were lined up close to the corner of the street and we waited about 30 mins. Don’t worry about saving a seat when you get inside, there will be a seat for you…just have faith.
