Our very first time to Mackinac island and we were starving. Of course since it was lunch time we had a 20 minute wait, no big deal, once we got the text that our table was ready we assumed we would seated right away, nope, another 5 minute wait while walk ins were being seated, we were a party of 2 for the outside patio. The server was great… at first. We ordered a drink each, fish and chips, burger and fries, not too complicated right, wrong. People around us that were seated after us were getting their meals but not us. I asked the server what was going on and before I could get my entire question asked she talked over me to tell me the burger was a special order( because he wanted it cooked fully) and I should appreciate that appetizers don’t take long to prepare. I said that the people behind us ordered both appetizers and food and were finished eating before our food came out. I lm really not a fan of servers who would rather lie than tell me that they forgot our order. In all it was a waste of $70.00. But we had a nice view

The first time I dined at Mary’s I was blown away, I dined in and I ordered the full order of chicken tenders ($25 before tax.) They were great quality and my jaw actually dropped at the amount of food you got/how good it looked. Then the other day I went back and ordered the same exact meal to go. When I got home I found that they had given me what would be considered a half order of obviously smaller tenders. The full order is $5 extra so that was honestly frustrating, it kind of felt like they knew I was not likely to come back and complain since it was taken to go. That left a bad taste in my mouth despite them clearly having great food. I’ve attached photos of both meals so you can see the difference, maybe stick to dining in here.

Mary’s Bistro Draught House is great place with a view and the food is delicious. The pizza is mouthwatering and splitting between 2 is a good choice. The rum runner was tasty and only recommend getting one as the liquor is strong.

We loved our meals here! I had the Avocado toast and it was delicious. Wonderfully seasoned with little added touches like you would get at a high end restaurant. Our party also had burgers and the pizza (the crust was excellent). All of our meals were very good. During our 7 day Michigan trip our 2 favorite meals were on the island. I can’t wait to go back!

I had two very special events that happened on the Island. I turned 40 and got married the same weekend. Mary’s was extremely accommodating the entire weekend. There was even live music during the weekend for my wife and I. The food is top notch, the beer selection is amazing, the staff is great, and the owners help a lot and take care of you.

This one one of our favorite meals on the island. We came due to the reviews. We were able to get a reservation quickly and were seated fast. The service was good and the food was outstanding. Chicken pot pie, soup and two pizza split for a small family of 4. Everything was fantastic, great views and we got right to the ferry to get back to the city. It was perfect!

Get the fish and chips. My whole table ordered different things and when we saw the fish and chips we all just wanted to eat that. The rest of the food was good. The fries were delicious, but the fish – it is destination food. The service was fast, friendly, and kind to children. Highly recommend this place, it was the best restaurant we ate at downtown.
