The Breakfast here was really delicious, I liked the taste of everything, for $8.99 you get 2 eggs, bacon, refried beans and potatoes.

My wife and I went to Mary’s restaurant. We were looking for a Mexican restaurant that serves breakfast. The place was full, there were a couple of empty tables but they were not yet bused. There was only one server working the dining room, and she was also the cashier. We didn’t really have to wait to long for a table, or the menu’s. We ordered coffee as she wiped down our table, which she brought right away. The coffee creamers she brought along with the coffee were in a bowl of water, I can only assume that at one point there had been ice involved. They were non- dairy creamers so they really didn’t need ice. Coffee was really good, I noticed the Farmers Brothers label on the sweeteners. This is a pretty good indicator the restaurant is using their brand of coffee. I have always been a fan of their coffee and I have often used their spices as a Chef.

One of the best places in McAllen to get a breakfast. Tacos are fat like the women I love and the coffee was black just like the women I love. Perfect for families, one night stands, and other situations you might find yourself in. The hot waitress made and ice cup for my Mexican coke on my way out.

Went to Marys Restaurant and it was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. There was a sign inside the restaurant that says “My food takes time, if you have time I have your food”. We waited patiently and it was worth the wait. We went again the next day but they close at 1pm on Sundays, will go again when we are in McAllen. We are from Houston

Stopped here for breakfast with my partner a few weeks ago. It was our first time. We ordered tacos and coffee. The coffee arrived promptly but we waited about 20 minutes for our tacos! While we waited I looked around and saw that there were only around 4 other tables with customers, so it’s not like the place was busy. I asked the waitress if it was going to be much longer and she said it would only be a little bit longer. The tacos finally arrived around 20 minutes after I ordered them. What annoyed me is that the waitress didn’t apologize for the food taking so long and when I went to pay at the counter the owner/manager also didn’t ask about our experience and no apology for our long wait. And to top it off the tacos were expensive in my opinion. Not worth the price or the hassle.

Poor service. My waitress couldn’t even quote me a price on what they had on their board. It was not in their menu either.

I loved the food but they don’t give you a price receipt and they overcharged like $4. They need to update their menus because customers will think they are being ripped off.

I went for lunch and the carne guisada was over seasoned. It was a little over priced (12.99) but I’m assuming it’s because of inflation. It wasn’t a bad experience, I guess I’m picky with my carne guisada.

Excellent food: hot. Cooked as ordered. Waitress was professional, attentive & friendly, not to mention very reasonably priced. I will bring my friends.☕
