We had heard good things about this place and wanted to give it a try. It was good, and we will probably go back when I have the craving for quick lobster. My Connecticut Roll and a Fountain Drink came to $24 before tip. My friends both ordered the lobster mac & cheese and enjoyed it. So, it is not inexpensive, but it is real lobster and tasty.

Since I’ve seen a lot of chat about it here’s my take on Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls located in Pier Park (old Starbucks location). It’s a fast casual chain restaurant that offers 4-5 lobster rolls, 2 shrimp rolls, Lobster specialities like Lobster mac and cheese and Lobster bisque.

Any time I see lobster roll on a menu I have to try it and they’re often hit or miss. Masons Famous Lobster Rolls HITS! The cashier helped me choose the “connecticut” as I prefer a warm buttery roll and it was no joke the best lobster roll I have ever had at a decent price too (I’ve seen them as much as $36) and they are not greedy with the portions! I started with one and took two to go to share with my family! The restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful so be sure to leave a lil tip for them

The original roll was pretty good. The lobster was very fresh and I felt like it was a fair amount for the price. The service on the other hand was very poor. The one lady working there did not greet us just sat there and stared at us until we told her what we wanted no thank you nothing. As soon as our food was out she went back and sat down and got on her phone. No management in sight! Due to the horrible customer experience I would probably not go back even though the food was not bad. I would have given them more stars but the lack of any type of customer service ruined it.
