Location is great. Close to many popular places. Ordered three classical lobster rolls and three clam chowders to go for our group. Lobster is cold and priced $19.50 each before tax and tip. Clam chowder is average. Sunday free street parking is great.

Tasty and reasonably price lobster rolls in the downtown Austin area. The Classic Lobster Roll (served chilled) has a nice lightly toasted bread and the lobster meat itself was refreshing. Pickle spears was included with the meal which was nice. While, the Lobster Grilled Cheese, was a bit salty for my taste. Overall, a pleasant experience.

I’m not even a lobster fan, but tried my friends and it was pretty good. They loved it and so I highly recommend them if you’re in the area. Parking nearby might be tough so ideally walking is best.

Finally a place with amazing lobster rolls in austin! Excellent high quality and perfectly cooked lobster rolls and delicious clam chowder. The rolls are STACKED with lobster. I had this bookmarked since it opened and wish I would have starting coming here earlier

Good thing I don’t live closer and I don’t have unlimited funds or I would eat way too many of their lobster rolls . I look forward to trying the shrimp roll next time.

My granddaughter & I were visiting my niece & chose this place to enjoy some lobster rolls. Upon entering we weren’t asked if we wanted drinks or asked if we needed any help with the menu. It Came time to pay $88 for the 3 of us to eat. I was prompted on screen to leave a tip. Its order at the counter & self service style. I chose no tip. It’s a small restaurant & I could hear the cashier tell the food prep employee no tip.

Finally! There’s a blacksmith in downtown Austin where I can get my armor repaired. Conveniently located right on the bottom floor of The Independent… or wait, no, it’s a lobster place!

The Bar Harbor lobster salad was decent. Not sure if it’s worth $25.

This was the worst lobster roll, I ever tasted in my life. I don’t know why they have “famous” in their name. I am a lobster roll connoisseur and I really enjoy trying the best lobster rolls in each city I vacation to too. I’m Extremely disappointing. Normally I pay $50 for a lobster roll so I guess the only benefit of getting this nasty dry rolls was the fact that I didn’t spend $50 a piece

Delicious rolls! Not much of a dining experience, but I’m not sure that’s the point. You won’t go wrong grabbing a quick bite for lunch at Mason’s.
